BXR - Why is it "taboo"?
Ok, I've been wondering this myself for some time, so I thought I'd ask.
What is the big "hoopla" around BXR (and other such things)?
There used to be tons of FAQs around the net regarding them and now, they have all been removed.
Is BXR being considered cheating now? If so, then I have this follow up question.
Why?
Now, mind you, I've never even tried it (honestly, I'm not that hand eye coordinated to), but to me, it seems like it's a glitch in the game.
So, people took the time to figure out that if you pressed this button, then that, then that, it would give you a quick kill. Annoying, yes, but is it cheating?
If so, then what about superjumping? (a topic Bungie has allready defined as not cheating). It's the same thing. A glitch in the game that is used by one team to try and gain an upper hand. Same to me as BXR.
What about noob combos? Again, another glitch in the game that allows for an easy kill. Is it cheating? Obviously not, since in ActionSack, there is a "Combo Training".
Basically, I'm just wondering what the deal is here. To me, while it may be annoying, I find that BXR is interesting, and think that the people who found it should be given some credit for their time spent.

You could always dip into your vast wealth of Halo 2 winnings and play your own way. Furthermore, why is your sponsor hesitant if you are guaranteed to walk away with money? Wouldn't he rush to unquestionably sponsor somebody with your "skills"?

ok look at my games on N Thomas. go to the actionsack and slayer games. who am i playing with? SV Naded he got top 8 in ffa and his team Storm Ventures is currently ranked 6th. If you go a few games down to one of the middy games you can see me playing with shook on3 on his shookon3 GAMING account. ranked top 8 and many more credentials. for those of you that dont know he is opening up a site www.shookon3gaming.com which he just recently started. also oddjob is playing and since you probably have no idea what you are talking about he got top 8 in ffa last year.

They will only get banned if they use thosse glitches a lot. Bungie can't fix the glitches because the individual parts of the glitch work properly. If you play the game Competitively for money like I do, and I am sure other people do also, you will use these button combo's or you will lose. I am not going to stop practicing them only because the games coding is flawed and left in the canceling animation glitch. I will BXR everyone when given the chance.
