In differs by all around. Silver being the closest to the ODST's from H3:ODST. Black from live action. Blue from other Halo games. Gold in many side story art and concept art.

Gold.

In reach's campaign, blue, i sat once for five minutes just looking at their armour and getting every detail down to replicate it. I am 100% sure it is blue.

Visor color changes depending on light to help ODST see in different conditions in harsh sunlight. Thats one theory anyways. It changes from game to game. [Edited on 04.14.2011 9:01 PM PDT]

Blue fits the best imo.

In ODST, It's dark blue. In H2, It's silver(And with Air Assualt Helmet), In Reach, it's dark blue again. In h3, It's Dark Blue. Only one you can have is H2. Blue in Reach is really not blue.

It's more of a cross between blue/silver and black. Black works best, though.
Posted by: Capt GhostRyder Black, if you watch Halo 3 odst cut scenes when the visor is on its black
It's actually tinted to an extremely dark shade of blue, which (in the Reach Armory), is not available for purchase. The Blue Visor is far too light a shade, while the Black Visor is far too dark. Silver, technically, was the tint of the Halo 2 ODST helmets. And hell, if Root Beer Visor were available, that would also be another valid shade, according to the Halo 3 Live-Action Shorts titled "LANDFALL". When light hits the visor at a certain angle in Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach, said visor can look anywhere from silver to blue to black, but the actual color is still unavailable.

Blue.

Blue. It has that silver tint to it as well.

Go gold man. Blow em away. Though I don't know what it really is. They kind of have a yellow hue on the inside... and Blue/Black on the outside? Honestly, I think I've seen all available colors for ODST, Blue/Silver being the most common.

I would say blue.

I would say silver; although in the ODST Live Action Trailer, it looks black.
