What about the people who mod outside of matchmaking? Do they get banned too?

I hate modders, bridgers, stand byers and boosters. I have been blessed by their prescence on a few matchmacking games. They are generally arrogant little Timmys, who desperately deserve for me to take my belt off and wack their asses until they cry like little sallys. If mom and dad only knew what Timmy was really up to...they would remove their xbox completely. I suggest Bungie do exactly what the school systems do... send out the mail addressed to the "Parents of "...That would teach the little retards. To me the real secret of Halo2...is connection speed...connection speed...connection speed. Folks with crappy DSL play crappy and usually die before they know what hit them and are lucky if they can get to a level 20. People with erratic DSL are mid- 20 level. And folks with great DSL are around mid 30 level. Its the folks with CABLE that rock on Halo2, those guys can easily range from mid 30 level (bad cable connection) to upper 40 level (exceptional connection). I have played on all connection speeds and there is a HUGE difference in quality of play. I, unfortunately, have an erratic DSL connection right now...some days its great..other times I dont even know what kills me the lag gets so bad. I can usually tell by the times I get slaughtered by what appears to be a ONE SHOT BR kill without the use of the plasma pistol (Noob combo)! When a BR behaves like a sniper rifle, you know your in trouble and missing some frames of the action that preceeded the kill.

Those letters are so funny, especially the one about the "stoler". That definitely had me cracking up. I just hope you guys keep up on the patrol on standbyers. I am looking forward to Halo 3.

Wow. This is pretty much why I've given up on Halo 2 online :( Having been a Bungie fan since the old "gnop" days, it saddens me to see the rampant cheating. The days of when I so wished Marathon was playable over the "inkernet", I'm honestly glad it wasn't. Having a local LAN party was some of the greatest days of my young. Of course we always tried to get "online" Marathon going. The wonders of dial up and a little shareware application called "NetLink". I'm sorta looking forward to Halo 3 but certainly not without some hesitation. How about a Marathon 4 guys? Mac Only? ;)

They should ban there IP address as well as there xbox live account, they dont deserve to play games full stop.

these guys are so stupid. i cant beleive one of them actually admitted to cheating! 8 times!!!!how is one time not a major offense? i say keep him banned, and if he keeps makin accounts and cheatin on them ban his IP adress . anyone who admits to cheating that much kinda deserves it. I haven't read all the post so forgive me if I am getting off the subject. I just wanted to put my 2cents in. Banning kids here in there is all well and good. Its a good effort by Bungie but over the last couple of weeks, I have been cheated on more than not. Maybe I have a crappy connection but everyone on my team seems to agree that we were cheated on. Its just getting old. In fact, I went out yesterday, shelled out the $400 for a 360 so I could play some other games. I guess I have reached a frustration point where I don't even want to play Halo 2 any longer. This isn't a Bungie, crack down on cheaters or I will start an online petition to ban Halo 2 or anything. I know Bungie is making every effort they can. This is a thanks to the cheaters for ruining a awesome game. Cheaters, if you think your d!*k looks bigger because of you rank, then you will be sorely dissapointed the first time you actually have relations with a woman. Get a life and accomplish something on your own without cheating!

HA! people like those (pleading their cases) really do take the fun out of MM. nuthin i hate more than an unfair advantage. there are SOOOO many subtle nuances to Halo2 MM. the maps themselves are so well done and "usable" that if u play legit and LEARN to play like a team....
