I got uber excited after watching the halo new stuff coming out for halo megabloks in halo waypoint.
I was thinking how cool would it be to play with the figures as a table top game?
Now im not really thinking of a "wargame" with big massive armys, but more of a mission drivin game.
I want to build table now with the surface being all lego studs
Posted by: Garshne42 Megablocks is better than Lego. It's cheaper and has Halo Wars.

That was truly a great day.
Well... I suppose since I don't talk on forums much ever,I dunno what you guys are talking about. Anyways, i can say there seems to be some angst towards megabloks. Most everyone that had building blocks had legos. There seems to be that human mentality of "this is mine and its better than yours". The "gang" mentality if you will. Legos/Megabloks Crips/Bloods Democrats/Republicans Girls/Boys Black/White North/South. So growing up with legos made it feel that legos are the one true building block toy because YOU had it. Then anything else was inferior. Now I can say, at the time of the 90s megablocks were actualy inferior as their bricks were cheaply made, too often the fit for bricks was near impossible to snap or so loose the peices would fall off. I remmber giving up on a megabloks f-15 jetplane because it was so dang impossible to get the nose to stay on. But ive given them a second chance and got the halo sets. Ive compared the new bricks with the old ones and with legos. The new bricks fit seamless with legos and are a bit "off" with the older bricks. Much like trying to fit legos with the old megabloks. ANYWAYS back to halowars tabletop. anyone got any ideas for rules? perhaps base it on the d20 system? [Edited on 03.29.2011 10:53 AM PDT]
Posted by: crabofhearts I know! i used to feel that way. But it seems that the new megabloks are much better than they used to be in the 90s. They brick quality is exactly like legos now.
...
Posted by: Achronos Too bad being utterly and completely wrong isn't a bannable offense.
Posted by: SonOfTheShire You would dare to defile Lego with your filthy Megablocks? Heretic.
I know! i used to feel that way. I wonder if lego was ever offerd? or did they turn it down? [Edited on 03.29.2011 10:03 AM PDT]
