Complete Credit Breakdown Per Rank & Game Type - All Ranks Complete!

I decided to search for a post that gives the increase in credits per rank. What started as a simple search has ended in a massive effort from MathGuy42, HolyHa1fDead and myself (plus everyone posting their forge credits per rank) to work out the complete credit breakdown per rank and gametype! Currently this is 50000 for all Firefight maps. [u][b]Slot Machine:[/u][/b] 100 to 3000CR and is the same for all except Jackpots as they are player specific. Jackpots can be as large as 7777 and are added to your Slot Machine for that game so theoretically will show as being between 101 and 10777. You are 100 times more likely to get a Super Jackpot as you are a normal Jackpot and these are added to the normal Jackpot. These can only be won once a day (but people have been getting more). You are still able to get the Super Jackpot for that weekend in other playlists but it is much more rare. Super Jackpots replace the usual Jackpot of 7777 and are added to your Slot Machine for that game.   • For completeness sake and verification: Warrant Officer Grade 3 - 60 There may be other ranks that need verification, besides Nova and the Lt Colonel ranks. I looked through the thread and couldn't find confirmation for the following ranks. If someone didn't [i]specifically[/i] say "no grade," I considered it unconfirmed since we now know Grades [i]sometimes[/i] matter, but the poster might have thought all grades were the same. I also list Lt Colonel and Nova since there is still some confusion there.   • I can believe Lt Colonel Grade 3 is 100. The post in the old thread just said Lt Colonel, without specifically saying "No grade." We've had at least two people here post 92. One post said Grade 1, the other didn't specify a grade. For those posting ranks and credits, literally saying "No grade" is helpful.

[/quote] Back in the days of the rank cap, when I was at Lt Colonel G3, I would get either 100, 110, or 120 cR per 10-minute custom. Sorry, I can't remember the amount (it was a long time ago and I had no reason to memorize the number), but it was [b]definitely[/b] at least 100. So the grades of Lt Colonel definitely pay different amounts.

Bungie puts this in a game and then bans people for using it. you should earn your credits, not wait for them. so credit boosting is a bannable offense, but taking free credits given away at the end of a round without earning them is ok? and the more you've done it, the higher your rank, the more they give you? I say stop the banning or stop giving away free credits.

  • That's an interesting point that the biggest percentage jump is Lt Colonel Grade 3 to Commander. I wonder if that was always intended or if Bungie made that decision between release date and the lifting of the rank cap. Perhaps one reason for the cap was to gauge how quickly the average player earned credits and make adjustments to higher ranks accordingly.

It was started in the days of the Rank Cap, so some of the theories are now known to be false. But looking through, I found a few people posting their Forge credits. Posts say: Captain Grade 1 - 70 Captain Grade 3 - 70 Commander Grade 1 - 155 Commander Grade 2 - 160 Lt Colonel - 100 (I don't believe this one since it contradicts reports of 92 here. I know and trust one of those reporters.) The Captain Gr 1 and 3 help confirm that all Captains get 70. This thread's OP has 150 for Commander. The 5 cR bump to Commander Grade 1, then another to Grade 2, surprise me. Perhaps these two should be marked "Verification needed."

Depending on how you round, Nova should be 457-458. Instead, we'd have 482*1.1=530.2 for Reclaimer. Oddly, 503 is the right value if you calculate up from Mythic. BTW, I can confirm that Warrant Officer Grade 1 is also 60. I also calculated that the maximum cR you can farm from Campaign is 157,381, so my Silver account can only get to Warrant Officer Grade 3 without Challenges or tons of Game Completes.

  • I'm afraid my memory was faulty. A friend who is a General Grade 3 gets only 230 cR. I definitely remember 234 at General Grade 4 and another friend has confirmed this. So I'm guessing General Grade 1-3 is 230. If a Grade 1 and Grade 2 can confirm, that would be great. Sorry for the incorrect information. @tsujen: Forge is a controlled environment where the Game Completion is always the same for 10 minutes or more. For MM, Game Completion depends on game length, type (MP pays more per second than Score Attack), and map (MP DLC maps pay more). Also, Bungie can alter MM Game Completion credits (as they did for Score Attack so that it wouldn't be too profitable vs MP). I think the percentage differences are the same though. You do have control of game length in Score Attack, at least making it last exactly 15 minutes. I got 986 at General Grade 4 and 1085 at Field Marshall. That's a 10% jump, just like in Forge.
