I've read the book, but for some crazy reason I want to read a detailed definition other than the one in the book.

In latin, "um" at the end of a noun is possessive. So one could deduce the title of the book as "My Crypt." Since it's written in the 1st person. [Edited on 03.06.2011 6:04 AM PST]
Posted by: Ageless Durandal Cryptum: A Crypt, a place for dead people to reside.
I believe that Cryptum isn't exactly a crypt. It's something similar. Or I am wrong and it's just a cooler name for a crypt. Dictionary didn't give any explantion to it so maybe you're right.
