I wish the whole onyx debacle never happened and when we returned to earth in halo 3 we were greeted by fred, linda, will, kelly and eventually dr halsey. They game imo woulda felt a lot better having characters that actually matter.

when I found out miranda was the daughter of halsey, I was like OH.MY.GOD. But then it made sense. before I heard that I thought miranda's mom died or something... but now the chief has something to tell halsey, "Doctor Halsey, I have something to tell you"....10 minutes later, john's balls are kicked(not really, he has balls of steel from the spartan augmentations, but then she'd be pissed and try to bottle up the feelings) and cries for six hours of gameplay [Edited on 02.23.2011 2:12 PM PST]

It has been confirmed in the journal, Dr. Halsey specificaly states, "I keep waking up in the middle of the night, it's hard not hearing her cry" or something along those lines. Cortana doesn't cry and neither does Deja, at least they don't cry that loud [
