I've read some really negative comments about her. Yes she was bossy and all but having a dominant woman as commander is much better then having a male commander imo.
I felt a real sorrow when she died. Her death was really disturbing after all....
I didn't really care for Miranda in Halo 2, mainly cuz the character animation in Halo 2 was dreadful compared to other games at that time as Half-Life 2. Anyway in Halo 3 she got a new look and a new voice, which did the trick. Yes there were times I wanted to slap her in the face but as the game progressed I became more and more depending on hearing her voice until her death.
Miranda was human, Cortana is not. So if you say Miranda did some stupid things, well, humans do stupid things, we're not perfect. We don't act like robots. Remember that.
I'm happy she died. Just as happy as I was when all the other human characters throughout the series died.
Halo fans don't really care about the characters do they?
Not gonna lie, I have a preference for real girls.
So do I but there's still room for having a crush, whether it's on a actress or a video game character. There's a reason why they make them as hot as possible you know, it's good marketing.
A hesitation that cost her her life, why did she storm the Citadel thinking she could do it solo? She knew John and Thel wouldn't get there in time, why not at least bring a squad of Marines?
Maybe she thought it wasn't time. It was still a heroic decision. It's hard to predict how things will turn out in such situations. I don't know how I'd react in such a situation. [Edited on 02.20.2011 5:12 PM PST]
Posted by: Reptoid2011 Well I'm sure most Halo gamers will agree that Miranda was good looking when it comes to video game animation.
Er... whatever floats your boat.
I thought her death scene was both epic and sad.
I thought it was laughable. So she crashes through the Control Room's window, the second her Pelican appeared I remember my friend shouting: "Woman driver alert!" Okay, so she crashed through to rescue Johnson, brilliant. She now has a Shotgun and is taking on half a dozen Brutes alone, not quite so brilliant. She then elects to pull out a Pistol and dual wield it with a Shotgun - as if she'd be able to use them both at the same time. Oh, she's finally figured out that this whole thing was futile when she realised she couldn't shoot Johnson. Well done, Miranda, you got shot in the back by Truth, it was all a waste.
Posted by: Reptoid2011 That's what humans do. They do wrong things, they feel sorrow, they feel happiness, all tht goes for Miranda. It's about the emotional connection.
I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of Halo fans will tell you that they felt no emotional connection with Miranda. The remaining 0.01% are either lonely, or attracted to video game characters.
Posted by: HipiO7 I lost all respect for her when she got knocked out by the Arbiter in Halo 2. And even more with her famous ''To war...'' line.

Posted by: SPAR7ANB71 If you've read the logs in Reach, smart AI consider themselves to be the next evolutionary step of humanity.
Which is fair game. For centuries the AI Assembly controlled the fate of humanity, without smart AIs humanity would have been absolutely screwed in the majority of their naval battles against the Covenant. Cortana notes it took her about 2 hours to comprehend the entire history of humanity... yeah, good luck with humans doing that.

AI is more valuable than a Human.

Miranda inherited neither the astronavigational skills of her father, nor the scientific expertise of her mother. She did nothing but stupid things and deliver cheesy lines, in the end she was shot in the back by a frail old Prophet.
