ODST vs Spartan
Now I don't know if I'm late to this, but do ODST's [i]hate[/i] Spartan's or do they only dislike them?

the dislike them because ODST's are really proud of their work and how they go about doing it, they are a volunteer force of the most battle hardened soldiers, then steps in a 13 year old boy who can kill a squad without breaking a sweat. they're mad because they feel anything a spartan can do can be achieved by throwing them headfirst into battle.

I love how the ODSTs in the games love me to death. Literally, they always end up dead by the end of the mission, even if I give them the rocket launcher.

cheif killed 2 or 3 in the books i remember in the Fall of Reach he was training and the ODST came up to him in the weight room and he fought them without his armor on and killed 2/3 and left the 3rd one injured badly and asked the commander(on that ship i forgot) "hes one of them isnt he?"

The ODST were the penultimate bad-asses of the UNSC. Every time it got hard, every time they had no way to win, the ODST were called upon. Everyone looked up to them, with awe and a bit of envy. Overnight, they are rendered obsolete by these massive humans in armor that barely act human. They kill without pause or hesitation, faster and stronger than anyone has a right, or possibility, to be. They are just as alien as the Covenant, to most. Rumors abound that they are more than human, they are robots, they are altered freaks.....all the ODST know is that a Spartan killed some of them as "training", and he was congradulated and the event forgotten. It was never forgotten by the ODST, and they long for their status back. No one wants to be the silver medal of the UNSC.

Some dislike them because they think they're spoiled, others hate them because of personal reasons, and other just don't care. The Spartans on the other hand just see them as soldiers.

Well, there has always been a rivalry between the factions as I know. But both sides know what they must do, and they need to work together to decide the fate of Humanity. I'm not one to care for rivalries, I'm from Boston, but I don't care about The Boston vs New York bad blood. If I was an ODST, I'd have the utmost respect for Spartans and/or Vice Versa.
