Smallest helmet in Reach.
I'm a swat player and I wanna know what the smallest helmet is in Reach. Also the best armor combo to reduce the chance of death.

Yeah, I'd like to make emphasis on this comment. Look, playing as a girl or wearing the smallest headpiece won't help you out at all. In reality, the tips I gave you probably won't help you much if at all. Some people are just really good. If someone notices you, they're going to try and shoot you in the head no matter how big it is, and they'll probably hit you in the head. Your skill matters, your attire doesn't. Every headpiece is a target, whether it's gold, black, small, or large.

it literally doesnt matter at all. -.- lemme guess you are a girl player model in reach and wore the rouge helmet in 3? god people are dumb. and they all have the same hitboxes.

As many people said, all hitboxes are the same, yes and faced with a skilled player, it really doesnt matter what you wear. Honestly, I really don't know which of these are smaller: the CQB, Recon (base helmet), HAZOP, Security, and Pilot. These helmets are all small from a fronward perspective, but sideways, Recon (base) and HAZOP are wider. The pilot helmet is tall from the front perspective. I wear CQB, it's small from both angles. If you're really big on the tryhard stuff, wear large shoulder pauldrons, COMMANDO is good, they cover small parts of your head from the side and their mass makes your head less noticeable. Wear either the TACTICAL/PATROL chest to cover the back of your head slightly, or the COLLAR/GRENADIER [UA] to cover the left side of your head slightly. Use small, uncolored default knee pads, and probabvly a BRACER on your wrist. Utility doesn't matter. And dark purple is one of the most unnoticeable colors to the human eye. And I don't reccomend any armor effects because if you're faced with three people, you'll probably shoot the one who's head is on fire first. Hope this helped.

CQB looks smaller than Recon to me, but that may be due to it being spherical. But ss everyone else mentioned, it's not like it matters from a technical stand point. Though I do find it difficult to track small helmets paired with large pauldrons. Not by much, but just enough for me to notice.

I personally think it's Jun's helmet. It has a narrow visor and is squat against the neck line. Recon shoulders are good. Little profile to them.

the size and color of the visor can make is easier/harder to hit though

It's not all about the hitboxes, it's about the psychological part. People see a smaller helmet, and feel that they can't hit it as easily, thus angering them, and causing them to do worse.

Armour permutations do not matter. All helmets and armor perms have the same hitboxes.

Base recon I think is the smallest helmet, but in the long run it really doesn't matter what armor combo you use because a headshot = death, regardless of your armor.

They all have the same hitboxes. So i don't think it matters.

recon is the smallest, however the hitbox is the same for all helmets, so it doesn't make much of a difference what size your helmet is because the target area is the same. No matter what you wear the area that can be hit is exactly the same. [Edited on 01.23.2011 10:06 AM PST]
