"Child of my enemy." What it really means

If you've read Halo: Cryptum this should make sense to you. When Gravemind says "Child of my enemy, why have you come? I offer no forgiveness. For a father's sins, past to his son." The "father" is ancient humans and the "son" is the modern humans (UNSC era.) Incase you didn't know, humans made contact with the Flood (pratically brought about its uprising) and then the Forerunners fought it.

  • which this is just speculation, but based off what the last Precursor said, I think that the Precursor's created the Flood.
