Okay, I admit it - I'm not the greatest when it comes to Grifball. Now that the Grifball playlist has went live, it seems as though I must brush up on my Grifball skills. Do you guys have any tips on being effective with the Gravity Hammer in Grifball and killing the opponent before he/she kills you? Feel free to share your thoughts and/or opinons. Thanks!

Have a better connection than the other guy, you win. Or, swing before you think you have to. [Edited on 01.18.2011 10:31 PM PST]
Posted by: the chiefs pet Turn on your xbox before playing grifball.
Really? That's like saying " Press RT". Give some real advice. To OP I heard that the range of the Grav Hammer had been increased from halo 3, so you would need to get comfortable with the striking distance. For AA, i prefer sprint reason is that if a person evades, there is a slight delay until he is able to return to normal state and attack. in that delay sprint should allow you to catch up to him before he is able to recover. Also its easier to kill the ball carrier. I would also recommend strafing side to side and not recommend jumping because it does not allow you to "juke" so to speak. just some tips I think will help. i too am not the best at grifball.

Have the perfect distance and swing before they do. Also grab the health packs if you are low on health, it does help.

Set the "Good connection" search preference. As much as people would not like to admit, the host in Grifball has the biggest advantage of any and all gametypes... You may as well get the best connection possible.

Let them rush at you, never be the first to engage unless you're catching them off guard like at their spawn point. Once the enemy gets close after their hit, you should be in range to kill them.
