Posted by: OctalLord Well one of the books which patially helped inspire the Halo Series(Although it draws from this and soooo many other things.) is the Ringworld series by Larry Niven. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringworld They even offered Larry the chance to write the books, he apparently declined saying that he hadn't played the games and didn't know enough about the series to make something for it. But I don't think THE Halo books are any worse for that. But Ringworld has a very different storyline from Halo and I think they just borrowed the location. It's still a good book though.
Well borrowing ideas is allowed these days as alot of ideas have been used and as a society we are getting rather dummbed down by easy life, but i will give that link of yours a check see if i get drawn in by it
Posted by: Glitch233 Just to make sure, the books should only be read if there is actual interest in the halo universe, the books probably won't do much for people that have been playing only multiplayer since the beginning.
well i played from H3 to Halo reach but i did play Halo CE and i am curious too the universe and everything about it as the game leaves me feeling a bit lost, missing H2 didnt help i know, but you get what i mean
Posted by: tha1truestoner Yes. It was called Ringworld and was written by Larry Niven in the 70's. It was also called Starship Troopers. Oh wait, Halo just ripped them off. NVM.
NVM? The starship troopers 1 is a lil bit flawed unless the movie destroys the books and makes a high teck insect race into some primitive savage race
