Why did bungie stop make other halo games?

For over a decade Bungie has been a very successful company especially with the halo series. bungie should keep making halo games or games slightly related to halo games. If Bungie dose not make very good games they might go out of business.

 • Microsoft OWNS Halo, but not Bungie.

Bungie didn't want to be limited to only the Xbox anymore. But they were bound by a contract with Microsoft. So, they made a deal; they could leave, but Microsoft gets to own the Halo franchise. The End
Wrong they bought the rights to the Halo series.
Indeed. They were paid to give up Halo, and then they were ALLOWED to leave, seeing how Microsoft owned them. As in, Bungie Inc was property of Microsoft.
Microsoft has owned the rights to Halo since they bought Bungie. Actually, in the game industry, the publisher of a game, not the creators, owns the rights to said game.

 • Plus, notice how unpopular final fantasy has gotten, its because they released 14 games in like 10 years, the more Halos they make in a row the more people will start to drop it. Theyll make another Halo eventually, just trust that they know more than you about the game industry and business, and we can look forward to Halo 4 by 2015 ;) <3 Bungie

 • Didn't Bungie in the past make at least one game that was for PS2, a Sony console? And anyways, what other people said.

 • That and they are expressing interests in moving on to different things which they could do and be able to continue work on the franchise since it is their biggest seller for years to come but unfortunatly it is not up to us to make that decision for they have rights to the game itself.

 • When you create anything, you eventually get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. You need air to breathe and that's just what Bungie's finally doing to break out of the Halo mold and do other things for a change.
