I mean, yes I had fun all the time with the competitions, ok. But this doesn't seem really fair to me somehow. It's true that the others who weren't able to get and also deserve a way to get it now..but this ?? It looks way to easy to me, I preferred the vidmaster way in the 'Recon-era' (if I may call it like that). Back in the 'Recon-era' you could say that someone with Recon did something for it, did all the vidmasters, and there weren't so many players (in %) with Recon. It was more a community thing, that showed you were part of the 7th column imo. I think that because of this easy way of getting the star, there will be a lot of players in reach who never visited Bungie.net before, except for their nameplate, who will get the star :/ . And that's bothering me, they're not a fan of Bungie in anyway :s .

Exactly. If this is true, I am a tad upset. There are a lot of people out there who put a lot of time and effort into their artwork, maps, and such. It looks like you have to play 5 games of Invasion, and then a game of the BTB All Star Playlist in order to win a star. I could be wrong though. :)

Just read that the BTB ALLSTARS playlist isn't live yet. Unless someone who already has the Bungie app can tell me otherwise, perhaps the mass-giving-out-of-stars goes live on both Reach (through the All-Stars playlist) and on the new app on Bungie day? edit: forget that. I'll be highly disappointed if this app is only set to release for iTunes. I absolutely envy everyone with an iPhone right now, sitting here on an island by myself with a Windows Phone 7. Odd that I won my phone at a panel held by Bungie employees during PAX Prime, yet here we are with an app restricted to those with an iPhone. Yay, BTB! Thank you Bungie! They could have waited a while at least, to let the All Stars winners and map makers have a bit of glory. It's safe to say I'll be sticking with my "Halo" nameplate.

I doubt just anyone will be able to unlock it.
