•
Posted by: My Gamertag ls That's the reason the Elite stabbed him! Because he couldn't see the radar on the bottom right of the TV!!!! lol i win. Gimme sum cooookaies!!!
Your argument is invalid because the HUD is displayed on the inside of the helmet, therefore, he can still see it.

 •
Posted by: mastercove1299 and justto end this thread a quote from sherlock holmes "often the simplest and shortest explanation is the correct one.
Occam's Razor, not Sherlock. (Granted, Sherlock makes reference to it.) On topic, Emile's scratches are over his radar, he doesn't use it anyway, so no harm done...

 •
Posted by: My Gamertag ls Duz i gut cookaies? :'(
No. You weren't very funny, and you made another post just about your "kookiez". I'd give you credit for being funny, but you're only funny in an ironic way since you failed so much. On topic: Emile can still see, it's just the outer part of his helmet. If it was on the inside of it there would be issues, but he's never do that.

 •
Posted by: C SEC Agent Each Spartan helmet has two screens, the outer one, and the inner one. The outer one (visor) sends a live feed of what it sees to the inner one. That is why carving on the outer one has no effect and all helmets have the same HUD. See GUNGNIR and Noble Actual for proof.
This is the best description. Again, ONI, UNSC, and any Spartan squad leader would not allow anybody to do something to their armor or themselves that would reduce effectiveness. It'd be like allowing Noble Six to break his arm. Thus, common sense prevails. The carving has no effect on visibility (even looking through the skull's 'eyes' would reduce visibility, especially in the two areas of Emile's expertise, CQC and demolitions.) • Well the mystery of Emile being useless as an ally has been solved. On another note, Spartans do not look out of their visor and use a camera system instead.

 • Hmmmm..... he took if off while carving it???? I mean if I was carving my helmet I wouldn't be wearing it.

 •
Posted by: See GUNGNIR and Noble Actual for proof.
GUNGNIR that little circle on the helmet is not a visor, its a camera, then a screen is projected big so the spartan can see, thats why the helmet is so big, to house the electronics of the camera thing. so basically gungnir has no visor, just a hi-res camera

 •
Posted by: DanElectro He can see through it the same way a user of the Gungnir helmet can. It projects an image from within the helmet, the outward appearance doesn't alter that.
This. There's a camera on the outside that projects the image.

 • My theory for Emile being able to see: he can't. He has crayon drawings of Grunts stuck to the inside of his helmet, and that's why he tries to Shotgun-snipe: he thinks the enemies are closer.

 •
Posted by: FacelessXGrave I don't even...
How can anyone see with visors on? It's a one way visor. You can do what you want to one side and it doesn't effect the visibility through the other.
