Noble 6 is the Rookie now with definite proof
As seen on [url=http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/5056/floodguts.png]Bungie's Christmas card[/url] the Rookie and N6 are the exact same size, so it is obvious that they are the same person, as already hinted at extensively in both ODST and Reach.

Well you do realize that all of this is fictional and nothing has ever been written about the case in point so basically nothing can be proven either way. It can only be speculated, similar to the does god exist argument. Nobody can win because no proof can be found. So everybody can argue as much as they want but everything will be pure speculation and nothing will be proven, therefore, no one will win. Ever.

Op, remember that it is not that he got demoted because of injury. Not only did his helmet have a voice changer on it, but his face is even unknown to the UNSC military as a whole. He had to from then take off his Armor for some reason by then before reaching the UNSC. His communication was lost with the broken helmet, and his Armor must be somewhere else. When he got to the UNSC, he wanted to be fighting more Covenant, so he became the highest rank he could be as an unknown person with no legalized training: a volunteer job as an ODST. The biomass seal in the ODST Armor healed him from his Sword wound, and he was ready to fight. Look how an extremely weaker person who has only been an ODST, Romeo, survived a hit with a Gravity Hammer, when it is even more powerful then the Sword, without any shielding.

WAIT A SECOND. What about the BOBs? They all look the same, and they can teleport, does that mean it's always the same one? What about that Elite officer that somehow manages to get inside the launch site for the Sabre in Long Night of Solace? He's the exact same height as other Officers, they look the same, and they sound the same. Are they all the same, or do all elites just look like each other? According to your "proof", the elites in Halo 3 might be survivors of Reach who got wounded and got sent on a mission to help MC fight the flood.

OMG Noble 6 is the Arbiter! Definite proof! Since he didn't show his face it can only mean one thing, that he's an elite. His whole death scene was only acted out because the elites knew he was the Arbiter and they just had to make sure that the UNSC thought that he was dead. The elites returned to the Covenant fleet with Noble 6/ Arbiter which explains why he left his helmet behind because he no longer needs it. Totally plausible theory!

Not to consider that the background of the rookie is explained as he fought in a battle BEFORE halo reach so there you go this entire idea is shot out of water.

Spartan augmentations have nothing to do with what we're talking about right now, and as to why you brought them up I have no idea.
