Bungie April Fool's History (Includes Pimps at Sea!)

Welcome fellow Bungie members! Today you are reading all about the hilarious events Bungie cooked up every year from 2001 to 2011. Read on to see the archive of jokes! Halopedia Article
Pimps at Sea
This is the big one, one of Bungie's best. Originally started in 2001, Pimps at sea is apparently a mixture of Action and Real Time Strategy (RTS) that featured the world's most complex economic system to date. The story focuses on a young pimp of the sea. According to Bungie, you could create your own prostitutes, using character models from different games, and put them into your "World". This joke continued to live until 2008, when the "Pimps at Sea" movie was announced. As far as we know, this movie was never created. In 2011 Bungie announced "Pimpville", a spoof on the popular Facebook game "Farmville". It didn't take off. Pimps at Sea and Halo Movie Stuff A fan-created version of the game exists, as found here. The game is currently on version 8, with no new updates expected. That's about all I know about Pimps at sea. Add more information if you could if I missed anything.
Halo Babies
Halo Babies is an animated TV series based on the web comic of the same name. A link to the web comic is found here. Not much else on that topic. Again, add your own information below if I missed anything.
Bungie.net pro, Halo 2 Mountain Dew symbol and Nintendo Ds Halo 2
Right off the block we have Bungie.net pro. Not to be confused with Bungie Pro, this joke posed as an advertisement to members, offering the exclusive use of an online Halo Story Bible, boatloads of webcams, Developer diaries, daily Halo 2 screenshots and more for a cheap price of $7 a month. Although we all wished it to be true, alas it was not. EXTRA TREAT: 2005 Bungie posted about the new lengths in which the product placement model is being taken in Halo 2; Keds, Arby's and Starbucks are all among the companies that will be showcased in-game. Yes, I copied some of that as I couldn't find much information about it. Up next we have the fabled "Mountain Dew" Halo 2 MP symbol. According to legend, after purchasing the new map pack sponsored by Mountain Dew you would receive a Mountain Dew multiplayer emblem for use online. This never happened. Relevant Up last was a small joke alongside Flood on a plane and the Halo movie. Basically, Bingie rumoured to some random website 9Cannot find the name of it) that they were releasing a DS port of Halo 2, to be revealed at E3 2006. I'm geussing the website -blam!-ed their pants and tried to get famous, until everyone laughed at them. For more info on Flood on a plane and the Halo movie, see the last link at Pimps at Sea.
Mister Chief goes global, New jobs and BUNGLE
The year was 2008. April Fools day. Thousands logged in to play some Halo 3. That's when they saw.. MISTER CHIEF?! Yes, Bungie decided to plaster Mister Chief's head over Europe. Quite funny really. Not much else to say, unless you know more. The same day Bungie released new jobs on their job page; Port/Emulation Specialist, 3D UI Designer, and Animator/Dance Choreographer. In 2009, Bungie created BUNGLE; Bungie Ultimate Ninja Gaming League Extreme. It was said to surpass MLG, but never took off; as all fake gaming leauges tend to go. The same day Bungie stated that Bungie.org would be taken offline. This didn't happen.
2010 and 2011
In 2010, Bungie released a new ViDoc, Zugzwang Evolved, explaining how all MP will be replaced with chess. Although this didn't happen, the gametype was released a year later in 2011. The gametype is avalible here. Bungie also posted a picture on twitter about a new "Bollywood" movie about Halo. The picture included a Spartan. The final joke for 2010 reflects on the same joke about the DS port. Bungie told another random website that Reach was being released on the PS#, and how they had split their team from the begining, one on the 360 and on the PS3. The PS3 version was set to be released on the 7th of September, and to be made $10 cheaper. This year, Bungie went small. They released the Chess gametype and some maps for it. They also made everyones games wins for a day. That's all I know.
Ninja Jokes
What? oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you guys, the Forum Nijas played jokes on us as well. I have 2009 and 2010 currently. Also, if you see any mistakes, tell me. Thanks guys. [Edited on 10.24.2011 3:27 AM PDT]
