Halo Reach has to be the biggest let down for this year, I'm glad its dying. It was dumbed downed for the noob community for Halo 3 and now for new players. Those two groups have ruined halo for the Halo 2 and 1 veterans. I don't care if you say you've seen plenty of these threads and i don't care if you report me. I don't care if you say i hope the door hits when you walk out. I don't care for anyone that doesn't have the sense that Halo Reach sucks.
Posted by: xBAMxBAM I respectively disagree with your opinion. I enjoy Reach thoroughly. I found Halo 3 boring. From best to worst: Halo 2 Reach CE Halo 3 ODST Gosh I love opinions.
lol dude ur awsome and i completley agrea halo 3 was good but unless u had a huge amount of friends online it was boring halo reach has so much s*** built into it its bound to keep u entertained days at a time (and to the ppl who hate reach let me just say its because u suck at it)
-
I agree. What a let down.
-
i played halo 1 and 2 for -blam!- years. and i still love reach
-
Well guess what I have every halo and have completed three of them on legendary and Reach is my favourite And guess what else? Reach won multiplayer game of the year smeghead.
-
Posted by: it1345 CE veteran here. I like it.
Second

Here's another fact: Black Ops MULTIPLAYER sucks. Nuff said its just as frustrating as Reach's anyday, more frustrating perhaps. I find myself screaming in BL more than Reach.
-
Wow here is a fact: Reach is not dying.
-
Because you said it makes it a fact, and you pray to god the people at VGA call bungie and force them to give back to reward on tv and make them say they suck at making games? Not going to happen, a lot of people still like Reach. I am one of them. And really, it DOES have the best multiplayer. If only they had remembered that Battlefield bad company 2 came out this year...
-
You'd think the ability to adapt would come natural to humans now a days, I think evolution is taking a step back in his family.
-
I agree it sucks but it did deserve best soundtrack
-
You OP do not deserve to live. Halo Reach definitely deserves awards!!! it has one of the best campaigns ever created.
Posted by: Lillehammer "Im happy about this. But also begs the question to people who hate Reach and love COD:BO... If BLack ops is so much better, with winning best shooter, then why did Reach win Best Multiplayer?" ^Halo fanboy. And then a very educated man replies. "That's quite simple, they disperse awards amongst the AAA titles so that they don't alienate and anger a large portion of their viewership. If Reach would have won the "Best Shooter" category, then I guarantee you that "Best Multiplayer" would have went to Call of Duty. Notice how they also gave "Game of the Year" to Red Dead Redemption, while it somehow lost in the "Best PS3 Game" category. Let's add on to that that they threw an award at Mass Effect 2 for "Best Studio", "Best RPG", and "Best Xbox 360 Game", to balance out the awards that they're giving out. They didn't even announce the winners of half of their categories, for God's sake. Apparently having 'My Chemical Romance' play a terrible song, getting as many unfitting obscure celebrity cameos where they look insanely miserable as they can, and having the host of the show UP FOR AN AWARD AND THEN GIVING IT TO HIM to actually fulfill their purpose of having an awards show in the first place. This is supposed to be the gaming equivalent to the Emmys and the Academy Awards, and it's by far the most prevalent videogame event that there is, yet every single year it just gets worse and worse. People constantly complain about people not taking the videogame medium seriously, and this is case in point why. Despite the billions of dollars the videogame industry earns annually, they can't crawl past this juvenile, ridiculous, sophomoric, churlish bull that they put on display every time that an event or opportunity like this comes up to show how gaming's grown. As long as the videogame industry keeps stuff like this up, gaming certainly doesn't deserve to be on equal footing with television and cinema as a medium." ^For educational purposes. 7.
^ Quoted for game-ending, earth-shattering truth! Meh Halo CE was my lan game growing up. H2 put in 8000+ game between different accounts. H3 6000+ games. Reach - played less than 1 month. Is now my beer coaster. Thx Bungles. Hopefully 343 can revive the series.
-
agreed.

1) That's your opinion, and like they say; "Every one has one, and like -blam!-s... 2) If you are so dissatisfied with Reach, why are you still here? 3) What makes you think we want to hear you whine on and on and on... 4) If other games are so much better, why come to Bungie forums and complain? Why not go to another games forum and whine there, thus stroking their egos and giving them a false sense of security in their games lifespan? 5) No one cares that you don't care. P.S. I'm not some blind fanboy (not that I'll be able to convince you otherwise), but Reach is a great game and I just don't think that you can get past the fact that it isn't Halo 3. Peace out and... don't let the door hit ya.

People on these forums seem to not understand the meaning of ''Opinion'' I've played all the Halos, played CE when I was 5 :D Loved it, Halo 2 loved it, Halo 3 loved it, Reach love it, unfortunately I haven't gotten the game myself, waiting for that dang 25th of December, so I can gift myself Reach.
Posted by: Armedsavage01
Posted by: TwiStEd TricKz Bungie made a mistake making the game cater to casual players. Casual players don't play the game long term like competitive players do. Casual players normally will play it for one week or one month and move onto something else while the competitive players play it non stop. No offense to Casual players, but ever since Halo: CE it's been the competitive players who are usually first on and last off. And no it's not because they have "No life" It's because they found Halo: CE and Halo 2 interesting compared to Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.
Im casual and Still play Halo CE regularly. I can play competatively but its not worth the stress it causes in the end for me. Bungie made Halo Reach for the players and did this by listening to what all the fans were asking for. They fixed all the major and even most of the little issues found in the last games in the series. They took player feedback from everywhere and made Reach the way we wanted it to be. We wanted tons of custom options and new features to be added and they did this. We wanted a deeper story and memerable moments they did that. We wanted many old classic features added from days gone by and they did.We wanted a more polished game with less glitches and that runs better and faster and we got that. They revamped alot of old concepts added new onesand tweaked things where they had to. Just about every idea they could fit into this game they did and most of these ideas came from the community.
what you call you community i call "casuals" which is more accurate. Let me list out the inaccuracy in your post. Took player feedback from everywhere? LOL no they didn't they ADDED TERRIBLE GAMEPLAY MECHANICS AND GIMMICKS TO CATER TO CASUALS, don't even try. They took away TONS of customs options from Halo 3, especially in theater. Where do you get your info from? Just because they added stuff doesn't mean they didn't take away good stuff that people REALLy enjoyed from previous Halo's. Um story wasn't that good AT ALL. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't all that impressive. Most of all, the difficulty and AI on both sides were terrible and terribly easy. Once again, casual alert. What old classic features? THERE ARE NO CLASSIC FEATURES, only thing would be the health pack, what else is there? Everything about this game shouts GIMMICKS. I'll give you the revamping part for sure. revamped old awesome maps, into -blam!-ier ones. revmaped awesome gameplay mechanics into a dumbed down joke in which a monkey could be pro at. Probably more i'm too lazy to list. THIS GAME CATERS TO CASUALS. PERIOD. Don't say it takes skill, IT TAKES VERY LITTLE SKILL. You can say it's fun, and good in your opinion, but do not say it takes any measurable skill.
