Didn't you ever play on Assembly in Halo 3?
True, but it is controlled by thousands of Lekgolo worms, just like hunters.
I had always assumed they were vehicles...cool

A Mgalekgolo colony makes up a Scarab meaning it's more of an ultra heavy infantry unit than a vehicle. It would help explain the screeching noises. But it is likely a combination of both the worms and the equipment of the Scarab.

If you got rammed with a Pelican and weren't immediately obliterated but slowly dying, wouldn't you screech and scream too? That'd hurt like hell...
Posted by: Lyle91 It's the same species as a Hunter I think. So technically it is alive.
Yep, the scarab uses thousands of lekgolo worms for locomotion.

Because scarabs are a living thing. They have no driver. It is baisically a giant tank controlled by a bunch of worms.

Scarabs are giant hunters, basically. Hunters are made up up thousands of tiny worm thingies. Scarabs are Hunters on a much larger scale.

Cuz they are leaking the tears of crying babies.
