*Slight Spoiler*
At the beginning of ACB (when you are Desmond going through the underground parts of the Villa) you arrive at Altair's temple place.
When you suddenley enter Eagle Vision and see Ezio, Desmond says 'Ezio must have came back after the attack on the villa'.
What I don't get is why he goes back becasue I've completed Brothterhood and so far It says nothing off him going back, does ANYONE no why he goes back???

@ghostvirus Well as long as its still in modern day and not ALL in the past then im fine. I just hated how #2 was all his ancestor. Dont get me wrong I loved the game but I would have liked to see more modern stuff. Brotherhood did an okay job at this.
Posted by: TtheTank887
Posted by: Jaz Millennium Doubt it. Ezio's story is done and over with. AC3 will be about Desmond and him only. No more ancestors.
Incorerect. Assassin's Credd: Lost Legacy for the 3DS will feature Ezio again (unless wikipedia is wrong again).
Lol I meant the main installments. Also you spelled Creed wrong.
Posted by: jamjam of war0 I thought the next Assassin's Creed was coming out next year?
No. They said a major Assassin's Creed release was coming out next year. People assumed that ment a fullfledged game. The interview I linked to, is clear, its not a new game. Its a major DLC release. [Edited on 12.05.2010 12:35 PM PST]
Posted by: Jaz Millennium If they go back to another damn ancestor thing then I will be disappointed. It only makes sense to bring it into the modern day timeline for the whole game.
Then prepare to be disapointed. They've said from the begining, every numbered entry in the series will feature a new ancestor. The story of Assassins Creed 3, will feature Desmond searching for clues, to help him find the rest of the temples through memories of his ancestors. They plan to put more resources into the modern side of the game, but it won't be the whole game. As to the OPs question, this will probably be anwsered in the forthcoming DLC. A month or so before Brotherhood came out, Ubisofts level design content director, unofficially announced two packs of DLC. The first one would feature new music, and missions for Ezio. Including two new secret locations, that will be tied into the narrative. The first one will release in early 2011 ( I think he said march). The second will release in fall 2011, and is apparently planned to be the the, "big assassins creed release" , for 2011. Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiBfpUnlxdI Starts at a 11:50. Spread the word. I don't think a lot of people, have seen this interview. Because it pretty much explains what Ubisoft ment when they said theres something major coming from Assassins Creed in 2011. Its not AC3. Its not a new game. [Edited on 12.05.2010 12:33 PM PST]

I heard that the next AC will be during the French Revolution?
Posted by: Jaz Millennium
Posted by: Sid Saber its probably just him returning there for nostalgias sake... If there is any significance, it might be revealed in AC3 *shrug*
Doubt it. Ezio's story is done and over with. AC3 will be about Desmond and him only. No more ancestors.
It cant be. Historical settings is the FOUNDATION of the AC series. Removing that would take all charm out of the game.
Posted by: JHOX
Posted by: Vgnut117 Assassin's Creed is an annual franchise.
False
Assassin's Creed is an annual franchise nitwit. 2009 - Assassin's Creed II 2010 Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood 2011 - Assassin's Creed console game already confirmed. It's an annual franchise. They've come out and said it even.

In AC2 it was so Desmond could learn everything Ezio did. And in Brotherhood it was to learn about a hidden apple of Eden. Since Desmond has learned everything he could to become a dangerous assassin and they found the apple of Eden (and the cliffhanger) it can only point to a modern day game. And this would be the best thing to do because they need to take down the Templars. If they go back to another damn ancestor thing then I will be disappointed. It only makes sense to bring it into the modern day timeline for the whole game.
Altair on Cyprus, Feudal Japan, American Revolution etc. Would be awesome in my opinion.
