Learn to pronounce famas the right way!
Im raging right now cuz im so angry at all the people who pronounce the gun famas calling it "FAMAS" It's a french gun in the french language you dont pronounce the ending consonant

People are going to pronounce things differently, always have and always will. Your just going to have to deal with it. I honestly don't see whats so bad about it anyway. I'm sure there are words out there that if someone wrote down and told you to say, you would mispronounce it.

I had a french friend who I met on R6V a few years ago, he told me "fah-moss" was the correct way to pronounce it. Then when I go on to play MW2 last year and say it that way, people are like "WTF are you talking about, do you mean the "FAM-ASS"?" >.< [Edited on 12.04.2010 5:26 PM PST]

I live in France and I chatted with the French military. They say "fah-mass". The -s is silent at the end of words, verbs and nouns, not at the end of acronyms.

Google translate is horrible for listening translations. Plus, for french, it's always in the You (plural) form, so getting stuff in the other forms is a PAIN. So don't trust google translate. Besides, I've listened to how my french cousin pronounces AK-47. His pronounces it, "Ah Kee Quarant Sept." Not at all like google translate. If that's any indication of how real french is superior to google translate, then I must be mistaken. But I'm pretty sure I'm not. [Edited on 12.04.2010 5:11 PM PST]
