COD BO Spoiler*
If you have played the story mode in black ops and watched fightclub you know what im talking about. & I know Mason was brainwashed, but didnt the cutscenes remind you of fightclub? I noticed this just before mason shot Steiner and his handler intervened.
Opinions or other campaign observations ?
Posted by: Random 1177 Topher Grace of 'That 70's Show' voices the character, Harris. He appears in 1 mission and has almost zero dialogue.
Yeah, I read that somewhere. What mission is Harris in?
Posted by: Heavy Risk *steal fight club story* *add government conspiracy* *add poorly connected real world tie-ins* ?????? profit!
Fight Club didn't invent the idea of Dissociative Identity Disorder. And Black Ops didn't even steal Fight Club's story, it used DID in that one aspect. Please tell me what else you think Black Ops stole from Fight Club.
Posted by: Spartan2447 If Reznov was alive and fled to the US then he would have needed to lay low for a while, we don't know the full details of that. Why would Dragovich want Reznov as an assassin or bodyguard? Didn't he hate him and had him thrown into the chamber along with his squad to test Nova 6?
Yes, but Dragovich also realized that Reznov's relationship with Mason could have been an invaluable tool. It was also the only reason why the brainwashing didn't fully take. I think I'm over analyzing this crap. Hell, I don't even think Treyarch put that much though into their own plot.

Then 5 years later all the other events happen and thats when he tells you he had been dead for 5 years. Nevermind thats exactly what you said but just to clear it up it happens in order like that.
Posted by: joshynoob Yea, I noticed Resnov wasn't real when he popped up in the tunnels in nam. I was thinking "there is no way this guy is randomly every place mason ends up in his missions".
Also when the guy turns and says "What the -blam!- is wrong with you?" It's amazing how even the player doesn't realize it there either.

Reznov dies at the Vorkuta escape.
Posted by: Jaba Dawz 01 If you listen to the audio and what Mason says, it points to the fact that Reznov could have been with Mason-EXCEPT on rebirth Island, That was just Mason using his imagination.
Yeah, there's a few things with characters that are complete fabrications of the protagonist. It's something that hasn't been used enough yet to be entirely expected and common though.

If I remember right, Dragovich is spelled wrong too.

Pay attention to the game and you'll know... Or look at my earlier post correcting Hyperupgrad's error.

Alright sounds good. I will check aswell and then check this thread tomorrow night.
-
^-^ I'll steal from brother in law again tomorrow, playing through on Veteran (only on second level in veteran) and whenever I see him I'll post/editpost in this thread, if it's still alive ^^
-
*smokes pipe* Agreed Shiro.
-
If he actually does your second theory seems more reasonable then. Your first theory is flawed in the fact that if Mason is shooting the last 'guy' and Reznov kills him then he's just shooting for no reason, and your allies will end up berating you (and not be in cover anymore, which they always were when enemies were present).
Posted by: Hyperupgrad Dargovik. Kavenko. Stainer. All must die.
Fail. Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner. All Must Die!
Posted by: Shiro2809 I'll have to play the game again, I know in the Vietnam missions he kept dissapearing in a shoot out (if I remember correctly). Does he ever actually do any shooting or just stand there behind cover? Your second one seems more likely if he did 'kill' anyone.
I remember him killing guys. I will have to go back and replay to validate this. [Edited on 12.03.2010 12:10 AM PST]
