What's your personality type? Here's a test.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, helps people identify their personality type via a four letter code.
They correspond in this order:
Extroverted/Introverted
Sensing/Intuition
Thinking/Feeling
Judgment/Perception
I've defined them below.
Extroverted (E)
You prefer to direct your energy to the outer world (People, things, activities)
- Act first; think later
- Feel bored when you're alone
- Draw your motivation from people and things
- Have many different kinds of friends
Introverted (I)
You prefer to direct your energy to the inner world (Ideas, explanations, imagination)
- Think first and act later
- Thrive on "Private time" and like being alone
- Get your motivation from ideas and feelings
- Prefer one-to-one communications and relationships to group situations
Sensing (S)
Take in the world through sights, sounds, smells, textures, and tastes
- Pay more attention to the present than to the past or future
- Use your common sense to solve problems
- Decide things based on your experience
- Prefer clear, concrete, information
Intuition (N)
You like to deal with ideas, the unknown, generate possibilities, or make guesses.
- Spend time thinking about the future
- Use your imagination
- Find it easy to see patterns and connections
- Make decisions based on a theory or guess
Thinking (T)
You make decisions based on logic and analysis
- Search for facts and use logic when you make a decision
- Notice tasks and work to be accomplished
- Find it easy to analyze things objectively
- Accept conflict as a natural part of life
Feeling (F)
You make decisions based on your values and personal beliefs
- Rely on personal feelings rather than on rules
- Be sensitive to people's needs and reactions
- Build consensus and try to find common ground
- Avoid conflict
Judgment (J)
You like your life well planned
- Plan as many details as possible before acting
- Be task oriented
- Complete one part of a project before moving on to the next
- Use calenders and routines
Perception (P)
You are flexible and take the world as it comes
- Be comfortable with making plans on the spur of the moment
- Do many things at once, both work and play
- Work best on deadline
- Value flexibility, freedom, and variety
I used a JROTC sideshow print-out as the source.
There was a thread like this a little while back, but it didn't define the four letter code very well.
My personality type is ISTP.

INTJ - with almost a retarded amount of I. Like a REALLY big number compared to the other ones. I'm not entirely sure if I should be embarrased or not, lol.

Last time I did this, I was INTJ. Wonder what I'll get this time? ...INTP, apparently. Not surprised.
-
INTJ Introverted: 78% (usually score higher) Intuitive: 88% (That's consistent) Thinking: 62% (Consistent again) Judging: 22% (Again, about right) I read the personality type text and it appears to fit me fairly accurately. Though I'm not as driven as it suggests I would be. However reading around I appear to best fit INTP [Edited on 12.03.2010 12:59 AM PST]

I'm an ENFP, as based on this test.
-
INFP is pretty rare. 1-5% of the population including William "effin" Shakespeare.
-
Posted by: Honcho Poncho I got INFJ last time I took this. It's less than 2% of the population, and the rarest type.
No, not the rarest, same with mine INTJ.
