I don't care if it's wrong, but can you get banned or anything for boosting the new achievements?

Wow. A game or two after I posted in this thread, lo and behold I got Stockpile on A9, and we had 9 flags total, needed one to win, got all 4 on the map to unlock the achievement. No boosting NECESSARY, but I still support boosting for this cheevo, as it's still asking an awful lot.

All I have to say is Heat In The Pipe.

bungie wont ban u, microsoft will drop your gamerscore to 0 and your gamerzone will be cheater that is assuming they caught you, happened to my friend on a different game lol
Posted by: theawsomegamer I'm not sure if people got banned in Halo 3 so probably not.
I will admit to Achievement Boosting for Overkill in Halo 3. It was pointless, but for some reason I just had to have the bloody Katana. I was never banned though. It was a waste of 10 minutes of my life.

I would GUESS not...but I don't honestly know...it's a legitimate question though considering at least one of the achievements is near impossible to get without boosting. All the Chips:(or whatever it's called) requires your team to capture 5 of 5 flags in a single round, with you capping at least one of them. Problem #1: No one likes stockpile. It never gets voted for even in the Noble Playlist. Problem #2: VERY few people play Team Objective to begin with, making it a double whammy...even less likely to ever play stockpile. Problem #3: In the rare event that you DO get to play stockpile, the likelihood that the opposing team is bad enough to "let" you cap ALL 5 flags in one round is slim...no one has ever done it against my team, and my team has never (to my recollection) done it either. Pretty difficult achievement if you ask me...and not due to difficulty within the player's control.

No, you can't get banned. Party boosting was the only reason you got temporary bans in Halo 3 and that's because the banhammer thought you were boosting to get more exp even if you were just doing it to get achievements. Now, in Reach, you don't even get banned for party boosting so there is nothing stopping you from boosting to get the achievements.
Posted by: Deathbringer15 I doubt it, since party boosting is allowed.
I boosted the Invasion on Breakpoint one, the long range DMR one and the rocket race one and I haven't been banned yet.

No, alot of people boost cheevos on other games, I don't see why it would be any different with reach. But the only time I boost is when i've tried and tried and tried but just couldn't get it. But anyway, no you can't. :D
