So who scrated 117 into the memorial at the end of halo 3
hey
by the way im a big halo fan and no other game hit me as hard as the halo series and im quite clued in on the story but i dont get who scratched the 117 into the memorial at the end of halo 3, does anyone know?

the reason why its there is because master cheif was never found after the frigate blew up at the end of halo 3 but i really have no ideo whos the one who scratched 117

It's never stated. However, I like to think that Thel carved it into the Hillside Memorial as a monument to his friend.

Well it really doesn't matter to be honest. Looking at any story, in any series, details this minor are usually so unimportant that actually taking the time to explain it might be the same as patronizing the intelligence of the fans. For the sake of the arguement, the most educated answer would be either Arbiter or Hood. Everyone at the memorial obviously felt some grief because they thought that their hero just died. So really anyone could have been devestated enough to scratch the number of their departed legend onto his makeshift tomb.
