Going Nowhere Fast
As some of you probably noticed, the contest itself kicked off a little while ago but we owe it to all of our Bungie.net members to spread the word of this epic event. Everyone thinks they are good at Halo and everyone claims to have beaten the game in record speed, but up until now these claims have never been put to the test. What better way is there to pass the time while waiting for Halo 2 than blazing through Halo on Legendary and earning a prize!? Consider this extreme boot camp, your final training before taking on the Covenant in Halo 2.
The [url=http://nikon.bungie.org/misc/goingnowhere.html]Going Nowhere Fast[/url] competition will reward the person who completes each level the quickest on Legendary difficulty. You can use any tricks and tactics in your arsenal but no modded Xboxes or cheats of any kind are permitted.
Each level winner will receive a cool prize and one overall winner will be hand picked by the judges to win an extra special limited edition Halo Xbox bundle.

Im good at legendary, but ive never timed myself. On Aotcr i can usually blow through a room in no more than 2 min (im guessing that) but it doesnt take that long. On coop it takes us like 30 sec. Our weapons are a plasma pistol and a pistol (and nades, who doesnt use nades?).

I'm awsome in legondary, just i have a problem while defending myself, I usualy take out the elite first using a full round on them, then i mele atak the jackles (While reloading) since it's a one hit kill. Then i throw grenades to take out all the rest.But since I'm in legondary the damage is up and the defence, I get killed since those marines don't know what cover is until halo 2.

I can beat Legendary easy enough. It just takes me too long =P I tend to wait for my moment to strike, rendering any chances of beating the timer impossible. Not that i dont enjoy just running in, guns blazing... just I dont think i'd survive long if I used it as my sole strategy =P

There -i got it working. I've never tried the whole game on legendary all at once before, i'll try some time, so far my best PoA time is 11mins 49secs, is that good or should i give up right now?

Tried to edit my previous post... gave me an error a few times. 1) Can we, who are sending VHS, include more than one entry per cassette? {ie; AotCR, 343 GS, and HALO lvls all on the same tape...} [properly indexed] Yes. No problem at all. 2) On AotCR the cut-sceen ends while we are in the dropship... Does the timer start when we are out of the ship or when the grunts run inside? For the longest time my cousin has been gloating that he beat Halo on Legendary. Of course when I asked Campaign or Co-op he gave in and admitted to Co-op. Of course being that he is younger than me and more conceded he says he could beat the whole game in one day by himself. I am going to tell him about this competition and tell him to put his supposed skills where his mouth is. Of course I will try also.
