Hello there, Thank you for reaching out again. We understand the Lorely Splendor's Cauterizing Flame exotic perk doesn't seem to fully describe the functionality of the perk. At this time, we have taken note of your report. Thank you for alerting us to this.

Please, do not communicate this issue to your Bungie team in that way! The way you worded your response is very different from the issue proposed. Your response made it sound like the helm needed to be nerfed, not fixed! The issue is not in the perk’s description. The issue is in the helm’s performance. It’s consuming class ability energy when it shouldn’t (see the perk’s description). For more detail, the reason the perk mention’s the phrase, “full class ability energy” is so the perk can be utilized with Primsatic Titan’s Thruster ability. No where in the perk’s description does it say “consumes class ability energy.” The idea behind the helm is for it to grant, “Lorely Spendor,” hence why it can summon many Sunspots. There was never a dispute about whether the class ability should be consumed because it was never up for question to begin with (again, see the Perk’s description). The helm should function the way it is described, which it is currently not. Hopefully it is seen that way by the next person/people at Bungie who handles this issue. I went an extra mile to make sure that the issue is described clearly, without accidental miscommunication within the Bungie team. Thank you for your help and for your attention. - Jack

  • Bungie won’t change the writing in the Perk’s description they’ll change the performance issue. The Perk’s writing is correct, the Perk’s performance is not. Our Bungie friend(s) made it sound like they’ll propose a Perk description change, which wouldn’t pass at the dev level. That’s all. Devs will know what to do (hopefully).

The class ability charge consumption is an auto-shutoff function. There's nothing broken about the function. If you were in their place, what would you do? I know I wouldn't bother touching it because there is no programming issue. This is a Language Department issue.
It's always done this. The description is running on the presumption that you understand it costs your class energy per manual activation. By doing that it shuts off its selfcheck function for having critical hp. If it didn't, it would continuously check your hp and continuously create a sunspot to the point of crashing. No bug.
The item is 4 years old, and you're choosing now to bring it up. What even prompted this so-called issue to be brought up at a time of this low population?
