The new double invasion feature. You asked for feedback. Well here is mine this is terrible. I appreciate those who want to invade don’t like the fact it’s 1v1 often because that avoids their fun of attacking other players who 90% don’t want to do pvp., and thus getting easy kills.
However, now having two invasions actually just makes me not want to play this mode at all. One invasion is an annoyance 2 is too much.
Maybe Bungie should look at the proportion of lawless frontier games vs games which can be invaded. I think it willl clearly indicate that most pve players only play the invasion mode when essential. Additionally if you increase the number of invasion opportunities vs pve players it will just kill this content.
Final thoughts here, as a pve main who does play pvp (iron banner/arms week), pve mains generally don’t want to PvP especially when forced upon them. My friends who play pvp enjoy these modes, invasion gambit etc as they want to go in have an advantage (not showing on radar) and kill players. This is also why players complain about that 1v1 as it takes away their fun of having the advantage.
Invaders should also be restricted to one use only of each renegade abilities and as an invader only one should be active at a time. This would also stop the super spamming/ ability spam.

2 RepliesImagine if the invaders came at the same time, but they could also kill eachother... that would be crazy.

1 ReplyFWIW: The compelling reason to grind invasions was (initially) to acquire the red crystal. Once done, I do invasions more as a quick fix of Destiny on those days when I just want to log off…or have little time. Personally, I’ve never understood the gripes of a 1:1 as opposed to a 1:3…🤔 I’d prefer to select the option to go 1:1 every time! That is all. Ease Things! 🖖👻 MTFBWY

5 RepliesIdiot you picked the node. This is like activating taunters tongue on elden ring and getting triggered that you were invaded more than once. Are you dumb? You know the only thing that only drops from invasions is a cosmetic item, right?
-
4 RepliesOnly 2/5 of the zones have invasions. If you are that opposed to it, just play one of the 3 without an invader.
-
6 RepliesThe PvP side isn’t forced. There are lots of options to play Lawless Frontier without any invaders. A 1v4 in Gambit is pretty well balanced, IMO. A team that works well together should squash an invader pretty quickly. The chaotic element is what helps invaders - teams get disorganised or distracted. I quickly got bored of Lawless Frontier invasions, but I thought it was a similar scenario there.

Edited by NerfPaladins06: 2/6/2026 10:33:56 AMNobody gives a -blam!- if you don't like pvp. I don't like pvp either but I don't complain and neither should anyone else. Life isn't fair even in video games. Sometimes you gotta do -blam!- you don't want to do to get things you want.

4 Repliesi know this doesn't fix your dislike of pvp emcounters - but i heavily reccomend using the stasis interceptor against invaders, here's why: 1: whilst facing an invader they cannot snipe you out of it 2: it's very tanky 3: it shreds behemoths, it's something to do with stasis slow/freeze, completely chunks them 4: the shots track enemies with extreme homing, you can spam it across a huge area and it'll automatically lock on to an invader if the projectile is close to them. here's a clip: https://www.xbox.com/play/media/8xLxNT7e5N

Bungle Studios does a really good job at making decisions that drive people away from this game….

I think it would work better if there was a chance when defeating invaders for an Infamous Weapon (“Shiny”/Pre masterworked + extra trait) to drop. Idk about you but I already think the invaders are entertaining, making it so there is a real reward for defeating them as well? Sign me up for double invasions!
-
Honestly I thought this has happened already had a few the last time I played the mode and it’s fine if your a good team and work together
-
I understand this...but the extra revives make the invasion balance out... The invader can only kill 3 and you get 3 extra revives per invasion if I remember correctly...and if you can kill the invader you just keep the extra revives... I'm not a pvp guy either and was repealed by the invasion idea to but with the extra revives it only rewards the team to play with invasion for the extra revives and work together to dirt the invader...

4 RepliesEdited by ABADDON_WOLFFE: 2/4/2026 8:51:54 PMI've played anything frontiers like twice? Or so... I only have 2 guns from those activities the stasis hand cannon and the sniper. Only one i use is the latter. Any of those activities do not seem rewarding enough for the time you spend there. Plus it's gambit 2.0 lol, never liked gambit. XD
-
1 ReplyProbably a stupid question, what activity do you invade I look on the directory and I can’t make sense of it
-
I’ve ran around that map looking for the guy I’m supposed to kill and then the time runs out that’s messed up
-
They made the dumb decision due to lack of instances where people could invade and eliminate the “double-cross” but they should have just extended the search time instead of throwing the invader in the game immediately and getting whatever instance is available (invade or double cross). Double cross is stupid and not needed. I’d rather wait a few extra minutes to get into an actual invasion. But leadership at Bungie doesn’t make good decisions for the game or the player, only the shareholders that invest in their live service game which has to keep up a certain population. It’s all numbers and they make decisions to pad numbers before they care about your experience.

As soon as they announced this last week, I knew it was going to suck. Invasions slow the entire activity to halt because it shifts the team's focus. Having a second Invader just extends how long the activity takes.

Agreed. Now I won't even bother playing it. Good job Bungie.
