I have my cross save set up and have both my xbox, which was my primary for many years, and now I'm trying to play on steam. I have my steam account linked but when I access the game, newly downloaded, it is making me create a new character. It doesn't seem to be accessing my old account which has all of the characters set up. There doesn't seem to be any way to stop this or ensure I get the character section I should have since I have three all set up on my main. Do I have to submit a ticket and if so how/where? I know it's been a while since I accessed the game but it still shows fine on my xbox account, redownloaded the game and checked.

2 RepliesAssuming that the character select screen displays the Bungie name as 'The Dark Scribe#1466'? Checking the account through the API, it does look like the correct Steam is linked to your Bungie profile as the character was recently made and you were doing the intro mission. If so, was cross-save already active before you added the Steam account? there was (or still is?) a bug that could happen where adding an account to an already active cross-save setup wouldn't correctly include it. Unfortunately in cases like that - the fix ultimately is to disable cross-save, wait the 90 days, and then reactivate cross-save so the account is present at the initial activation. This would mean you are only able to use your Xbox characters while on Xbox until that cooldown expires and cross-save is reactivated. One of the BNGHelp accounts will likely see this on Monday when they're back in the offices and can check on their end if the system shows the account as correctly included. If it isn't, Bungie don't forcibly include accounts and its left up to the player to resolve. For now, I wouldn't go messing with the setup until BNGHelp has replied.
