Fire and Ice is cool but for the love of God. Please tone down the boss minigun
Constant high damage minigun fire and very little in terms of cover made that room excessively frustrating because of how passively it requires you to play.

5 Repliestry doing it after the campaign is over when you have to go in their for mods, catalysts, and customization you get 30 minutes to do it in and when you die, or fail due to the timer running out, you respawn all the way back at the beginning of the mission when the timer starts and you lose all progress you made for those mods and catalysts

The length of time you need to hold down x at the top platform is just stupid. Solo on legendary was sooooooo painful. Everything else about it was OK.

3 RepliesIt's fine. The minigun is intended to be hard to deal with the first time and future run's you'll have your lightsaber to stay safe. Now before you say not everyone wants to use the lightsaber, it's ONE mission. You're intended to use the lightsaber during the boss of the lightsaber mission.

While figuring out the mechanics on a blind legendary run, I had an interesting thought, Bungie actually took inspiration from cheaters in crucible using xenophage on full auto and unlimited ammo 😀

I found if you approach the platforms from the sides or back of the room the crux platform doesn’t vanish and the crux interaction is more forgiving. It’s a bloody nightmare in legend though and especially frustrating when the orbs roll off the floor into the ether 🫠

I agree, the whole mission is really cool but getting the boss down to a quarter of his hp sucked the second you understand the mechanic.

Haha, that big -blam!- got pro skill of aim bot and aim assist auto. But am finally dont have go back there anymore since got all 3 catalyst in one go.

4 RepliesSince I had no idea what I was doing in there, and every time I fired my Malphis the threadlings kept messing up the orb things, the only thing I could do was use my Threaded Spectre as often as possible to give that big Bulletslab something to shoot at and save my team's skin. But it was worse than Calus at the end of Lightfall.
