Destiny 2 renegades won’t open on steam
I click launch and it never opens. I can see battle eye and destiny 2 running in the task manager , But the game never opens.
I tried verify game integrity on steam, it went fine and didn’t fix it.
Currently doing a full reinstall to see if that does it.

looks like we have several ppl in same boat, i tried uninstall, reinstall, uninstal, reboot, install battleye and everything else what i found in google but nothing works...

Edited by Dizzy Star: 12/4/2025 2:03:35 AMSame issue, and no solution works. Hope they fix it soon! Edit: @Aeadar's solution works! Deleting the steam_api64.dll file in the Destiny 2 directory allowed me to finally launch the game.

Facing the same issue. BattleEye would initiate and then it would sit on desktop, not launching the game at all while running processes in the background with 0% usage.

Mine just shows an instance of "Running" but the game has not started, nothing... verified files, still nothing.
