CRUCIBLE FEEDBACK: Lightning Surge Nerf - Damage vs. Utility Mismatch & Class

Sandbox Team, I am providing some focused PvP feedback here on the upcoming 16% damage reduction to Lightning Surge (Prismatic Aspect). This change severely diminishes the ability's utility by removing the reward while keeping the inherent risk and high cooldown cost. The Problem: Inconsistent Lethality Across Classes The damage reduction highlights a clear inconsistency in how high-cost, high-risk melee abilities are balanced across the three classes: Hunter Benchmark (Skill/Range): The Weighted Throwing Knife (Solar Hunter) is a highly-rewarding, instant one-shot-kill if it hits the head. It rewards high skill with absolute lethality. Titan Benchmark (Risk/Sequence): The Consecration (Solar Titan) slide-slam is a powerful, high-risk sequence that, when executed correctly, can easily one-shot Guardians caught in the blast. Warlock Disadvantage: Lightning Surge is a similarly high-risk move that commits the Warlock's full body into dangerous close range and uses a full ability charge. It is being explicitly tuned to be non-lethal, making it an inferior option in a meta where rival class abilities can secure instant kills for the same or less commitment. Direct Suggestions for Compensation If the 16% damage reduction must proceed, its utility and build-crafting value must be significantly increased to compensate for the loss of lethality. We propose two strong alternatives: Alternative 1 (Cooldown Compensation): REDUCE THE ABILITY COOLDOWN. If Lightning Surge is now relegated to a low-damage "clean-up" role, its cooldown should be significantly shorter to justify the ability slot and encourage frequent use. Alternative 2 (Build-Crafting Compensation): INCREASE FRAGMENT SLOTS TO FOUR (4). Change the Lightning Surge Prismatic Aspect to grant four Fragment Slots (up from the current three). This would make it the premier Aspect for Warlock build flexibility, allowing players to justify its use by gaining massive stat or utility benefits to offset the reduced melee damage. Please ensure the integrity of this aggressive Warlock option is maintained by providing a corresponding increase in utility to match the high energy cost and combat risk. Thanks Bros!
