Unlocking older Exotic armour?
How does one unlock exotic armour now? I need Icefall Mantle for example; it used to be that your go and farm Lost Sectors solo on a day when arms were the exotic drop and you had a chance to drop anything you didn’t already have. This daily drop type doesn’t show up anymore when you preview the Lost Sectors so it doesn’t seem to be where you get stuff. I did drop 3 or 4 exotics while farming but all of it was stuff I already owned. So how does one get items they don’t have yet? Both Rahool and Ada1 only sell items you already unlocked so unclear what to do. All online descriptions and videos are from at least 1 year ago, so that’s not much help.
How are new players getting any exotics if they can’t unlock stuff? How do o get the 3 or 4 items o still don’t have? If I’m missing something pls let me know. Thx

4 RepliesVex strike force public event on neonuma. Guarantee's an exotic you don't already have except for the 3 for legendary campaign completions. It's very random, so follow vex net assistant on twitter & turn on it's notifications & it pings you 5 mins before it starts. Fly in, kill the 6 vex & bingo.

4 RepliesYou can unlock most exotics by just focusing the exotic engram into the item you want at rahool using an exotic cipher. After doing that you can get it to drop randomly or focus an emgram using shards instead. Other option would be to wait for xur to sell it. Some, like the edge of fate exotics, require you to complete either the campaign on the highest difficulty or you can just run the sieve when its up to get them.
