Cross Save Unavailable due to Old Playstation Account
Hi, in anticipation of Renegades I was trying to get back into Destiny. I recently switched from playing on PC to Xbox and figured it wouldn't be too hard to just load up my old character.
This was very wrong, turns out my Bungie account is linked to a playstation account I haven't touched since 2011-12 and haven't had access to for about as long. And apparently because I can't log into that account to authorise or disconnect it from my Bungie account, I'm just stuck being unable to activate cross save??
I don't even own a playstation anymore! Surely there must be some way to go ahead with crossplay with just my Steam and Xbox accounts connected.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Since March 25th's [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url], only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, the PlayStation account in question will remain linked. As a result, if you do not have access to the PlayStation account, you will indeed be unable to adjust your Cross Save setup, as doing so requires authentication of all linked platform accounts. Therefore, we recommend contacting PlayStation to attempt to recover the account.
