I know it’s been more than a week since the Contest Mode Epic Raid: Desert Perpetual, but I hope Bungie will still consider our case. This issue didn’t only happen to my team, several other teams have also encountered this triumph bug.
Here’s our compiled video showing a no-wipe run and all boss completions during Contest Mode:

(I also have the full VOD downloaded from Twitch 25+ hours and 110GB and can upload it upon request.)
Our Case:
During our Agraios encounter, we killed the boss at the same moment as the wipe mechanic, and while the game registered the encounter as completed, it did not credit the triumph under Contest Mode.

Evidence
Case Image 1 - Agraios is almost dead and when we did enough damage to the last stand, its HP bar turned gray, confirming it hit zero (0). This is consistent with other bosses that enter last stand phases.

Case Image 2 - After the kill, the reward chest spawned, the UI displayed the chest icon, and we received Clan XP, Glimmer, and Seasonal Rank XP.
The objective also changed to //REGRESSION, and the location text displayed Velocity’s Tomb, confirming it was no longer a Darkness Zone.

Case Image 3 - On the wipe screen, no damage values was shown , and upon respawn, Agraios did not reappear and the reward chest is no longer there.

Triumph Screen - After checking the Triumph screen, “Agraios Defeated” remained unchecked, even though we continued to clear the third encounter (Iatros).

After fully completing the raid (defeating Koregos), we relaunched Contest Mode, went directly to Agraios, and killed it again. Once more wiping at the same time. It still did not count toward the triumph.

My team and I truly hope that Bungie will grant the credit we earned for completing this encounter and extend the same consideration to other teams who faced this bug during Contest Mode.
Lastly, I’d like to reference Saltagreppo’s tweet regarding the same triumph issue:

2 RepliesOur team was unfortunately subject to this bug too. We issued a support ticket but were met with a disappointing answer. Hopefully Bungie sees this and enables the missing triumph objective.
