Roadmap to rebuild trust = full Sony takeover.
Please PlayStation save this franchise.
We need a studio that listens to customer feedback, cares about Destiny, is interested in Destiny, wants to play Destiny, and has passion for Destiny as much as the fans do.
If Destiny: Rising says anything it’s that the narrative why D2’s player population is in the RED is due to the end of the light & darkness is ludicrous.
The fans still want more Destiny.
The current Bungie does not.

I wish Sony would sell it to Digital Extremes 2025 Digital Extremes=90s and 2000s Bungie They actually play and understand thier game, they have constant open communication with thier players, and the health of the game is more important to them than profit But I doubt they could afford or want to pay Sonys asking price

Sony will shelve the ip not save it. Sony brought bungie for its live service expertise not destiny so if destiny 2 can't be saved with minimal costs they'll let it fail and move on they have done it before. Sony have shut studios down for one fail or before they even released one game Sony put profit and growth above any single game or studio and judge each game by its current and possible profit and success. As of right now destiny is in a death spiral and likely will be abandoned upon marathons release or failure.

I understand what you are saying, but I am not sure Hermen Hulst is your guy to do this, considering he got demoted this past January. Anyone with a philosophy of "Fail Early, Fail Cheaply" should not be on the BOD.

If Sony and PlayStation were half as good as some people like to pretend, I think Sony would have done something already. Instead it's been a steady decline. Wait, now I remember.. It's somehow Microsoft's fault that Bungie sucks. They planted Pete Parsons at the helm of the company to sabotage the game(s). Yes, this is something people have actually been saying. Well, that guy is gone now so what's the next insane excuse?

2 RepliesWith how bad they've run their other live service games, I wouldn't be surprised most of this is Sony's fault. The game didn't start to look like a gacha game until Sony took over.

I don’t have any trust in Sony to save D2. If Sony were interested they’d have made some positive efforts already. The much criticised Activision got another couple of studios to help Bungie, Sony haven’t done anything similar. Sony did hoover up around 150 Bungie staff around the time of the layoffs last year. I imagine they weren’t the less experienced/capable staff….. Bungie’s basically under the hammer to get Marathon sorted and released. The D2 team has reduced resources to work with which is largely why they’re trying to focus the game into a reduced number of portal activities. They can barely manage that, nevermind the rest of the game.
