Exact same thing happenes to a fireteam I was just in! The blight damage is incredibly strong; it has to be bugged right now!

This has happened before, I dont run into them unless its absolutely manditory. A common trick for those blights is to jump on top of the ball, and shoot downwards. In the past, harder difficulties would also make the blight area extremely dangerous.

Hilariously the blights spawned by the "taken blight" public event are doing this too.

It was hitting harder than the bosses. Dead in like 3 seconds. Utter madness.
