I dunno, I think the dark ages were probably worse.

It's the worst. I played several hours today to get 1 pinnacle drop, and it dropped on the armor piece that was already my highest power. I just turned the game off because it made almost no difference, and I knew I'd have to play several more hours to get another drop.

After a +30 activity run without any drops I decided to keep track. My last 14 drops have averaged 14 activities (196 activities in total) but it has ranged anywhere from 6 to 28. And I wouldnt have kept going if I didnt happen to have days off and got sick, so when i wake up from coughing I play an hour or two before going back to bed. Should add that I'm playing with one old armor piece (my exotic isnt featured) and I'm not in a clan - so I'm not getting whatever clan bonus there is. I think the situation will improve once bonus drops can drop at pinnacle level - should bring down the activities a little. Then again, bonus drops are consumed so we wont be able to run them that often. Would be cool if we got a new bonus drop every time we finished an activity.

Bungie have screwed up bad and they know it. They try to hide behind honeyed words but it doesn't hold water. Whoever thought of this post 400 grind idea needs to be sacked in the morning and told to crawl in a hole. The most unrewarding and turgid experience in Destiny's history.

Nope, about dbl the time commitment. 60-70 hrs Up from 30-40. And we have had grinds in this game that were worse AND timegated. Like for Emblems... I've grinded longer for a single emblem. Warminded - took 3 months. The Time Trials emblem for the ascendant challenges took 6 weeks. This grind took me less than 3 weeks, and I don't have the clan prime boost. 😇👍💠

Lol no it's not. Virtually every D1 grind besides AoT was way worse than this.
