Have run this a few times now, both solo and with a FTF team: it was a pain, every time.
Solo: hard but careful progress got to the final boss with a few revives in hand. Within minutes, was battered down to 0 revives...then spawned on that little islet facing the Big Boss firing his weapon, and moving around like a madman...I had nowhere to run or hide or anything - just die. Period.
After all that effort and time...it felt like I was deliberately 'overwhelmed' by design, to ensure that I would fail...which, I did. This felt so unsatisfactory...and did not feel fair, at all.
FTF Team: very doable up to the final boss, where we had a goodly number of revives in hand. Within minutes, the Boss was operating at 78rpm and we were in molasses...seriously overwhelmed from every angle...and before we knew it, down to zero revives...then, our final surviving player was cornered by the Boss, and with nowhere to move - he died.
This, too, felt like we were deliberately 'overwhelmed' by design, to ensure that we would fail...which, we did. This felt so unsatisfactory...and did not feel fair, at all.
You get the picture?!
If that is to be the way this goes, it begs the question: what's the point?
That is all.
Ease Springs!
Update Edit: we did it…finally! TYVM to y’all for your positive insights and suggestions. All good stuff! Cheers, Guardians! 🫡

Haven’t tried. Gonna solo it as soon they get rid of avant garde

It was okay. Just make sure you kill some champions before time runs out. A lot has to do with add control. On the boss f.e. prioritize adds before boss damage. Makes things a lot easier.

6 RepliesCopy my warlock build… It will get you through it. The build is everything you need from survivability to doing a lot of damage while you never have to really switch weapons. Ignitions for unstoppables, radiant for barriers, auto for overload. It is laughably a strong build for said levels and higher. Dive for your solar buddy, healing grenades for you or teammates, snap repeat.

3 RepliesPlay with a team, when adds spawn, communicate that they're spawning and everyone stops focusing the boss and kills the adds. WHen he goes into enrage mode and loses his helmet break out supers and finish the fight.

5 RepliesIt feels to me like there was a difficulty bump recently. I suspect some of the changes they made did not work properly. Same activity, same difficulty level I have seen a difference in the last few days. We get wipe faster, people quit halfway… it’s so bad I took a break from PvE and went playing Trials lol.

Damage boss until adds spawn Kill adds Rinse and repeat. You can't find cover? Go play the strike on Nessus and explore the boss fight area in an easier version of the strike. There certainly is a spot where you take cover when you blow his head off and he starts charging. Hide behind pillars. During the fight there's cover you just need to have better awareness if you think there's no where to take cover.
