WTF is this grind beyond 400???
Literally cannot select any amount of modifiers that will allow an A grade combination to create even a plus 1 to avg gear score. This is -blam!- up. I’m quitting tilll u fix this insanely tedious grind.

It’s absolutely mind-numbing. Very poor implementation.

It also depends if you got seasonal gear on (with the blue little icon in the top left corner) Or you have to go up to a higher level. I usually start with no hub and no ammo. That boosts without making enemies a higher level. Then if needed a +10. If you need a +20 start with one of the Roman number modifiers with screebs and shroud and stuff like that. But the grind after 400 is horrible. You can also wait until next episode because then all hard work will be undone and then it shifts to 500 until 550. It is just so bad without any guaranteed weekly pinnacles besides a chance that Bungie controls. It’s not a percentage because I never seen 2 pinnacles drop within a few activities. You need to run like 20 before another pinnacle drops again.

1 ReplyThe only way you progress after 400 is receiving a pinnacle drop. Your B, B +, C run means nothing. You're at a 1 in 20 chance to get a pinnacle. They did say with the patch getting to 500 would now be the same as getting to 400, but 500 to 550 will be like it is now. The mind blowing thing is you have a category for pinnacle ops, but they don't drop pinnacles any more frequently than any other activity ...they need to stop with these artificial annoying modifiers

5 RepliesThe grind is supposed to be dumb. They said they didn't expect anyone to get to 450 before Ash and Iron and after some thinking...it's not a big deal. T5 Weapons are meaningless. T4 weapons are still better than what we had before EoF. Double Perks, enhanced mod slot and everything else enhanced except for the origin trait. Play to have fun and if you're not, don't enslave yourselves to a grind that where the rewards are not game changing or even noticeable in functionality.

This is polar opposite of RPG and build crafting they claim to support You can punish yourself to get top light level. Those that play to enjoy that RPG gameplay and try new builds are in for a long journey. TWAB is very telling and very disappointing.

1 ReplyThe grind at 300 isn't any good either. 3-4 drops in a row all the same level as currently equipped gear. So 25-30 minutes worth pf runs for nothing. 1 drop at lvl anf the rest is 10 lvls lower.

Now, we can do 20-18 Fireteam activities at around 10-20 minutes each to get a pinnacle instead of just 3 minutes! Nerf?! I think you mean blessing because now we can play and grind even MORE! After 2 weeks of pinnacle grinding with my limited time I can get 419 gear! Count your blessings! So easy and quick! [spoiler]Sarcasm off[/spoiler]

lol wtf is the grind up to 400 ! Pure two to keep existing players logging in …really sad to see . Bungie or whoever know players with addiction and how to keep them on the carrot . Bungie are done and d2 will fade out eventually now .

Uhhhh learn how to setup the portal? 400 to 450 atm is primes only you aren't getting + anything unless those drop. Then setup for a b+ or b then do bonus objectives to force an A. Again you have to get a prime you don't level like normal. You don't need A one the forecast...

If you still have conquest in your list. It will give more drops with increased light. It one time person per use. Others don’t complete conquest. Help them, it increase more on your level than grinding in portals.

The grind once over 400 is random and done by getting random prime drops (5% chance) which will drop at +3 and be tier 5 gear.
