How to fix Destiny 2

-Remove lockouts. Let us farm dungeons and raids as much as we want per week. Plenty of player retention. -Tier old loot. Including gear in vaults(invalidating previous grinds sucks). Give us a reason to go back and farm old content we missed. -Every activity should drop items with your current power and a chance for an upgrade. Lots of returning/new players that have to do non portal activities to catch up. Might as well let them catch up in power in those activities. -Remove activity score. Removes fun from the game by focusing on arbitrary score which isnt even possible to attain in some activities(most fireteam ops). Just reward people for playing the game. -Let your other characters share progress on campaigns. Its a pain to only be able to craft on one character unless i do a quest line on each character. Also having to unlock matterspark on each character also sucks -Remove featured gear system (or just activity score as stated previously). Restricting builds is never fun - Let us attune to specific items more. Would have been nice to be able to attune to different solstice items during the event. More opportunities to target farm the specific item you want would be nice. -Incentivize playing with other people more. Never felt more like a solo game than right now. Have barely interacted with other humans in game since EoF launch. Some of the design choices in this Season/Expansion were great. Some were not. Hopefully they listen to the community and improve where it fell short. I think the new Armor system is much better(might need additional archetypes). Also not being stuck to a few power upgrades a week is a good change.

          • Great ideas👌 Have another idea on how to get more players to Destiny 2. Introduction - Idea Raids are one of Destiny 2’s most iconic features, offering some of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in the game. However, the barrier to entry for many players is high due to the difficulty, coordination requirements, and lack of matchmaking options. As a result, a large portion of the player base never gets to experience this cornerstone content. Inspiration from World of Warcraft During World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King expansion—the game’s most popular era—Blizzard introduced the Looking for Raid (LFR) system. This allowed casual players to participate in raids without the punishing mechanics that required perfect execution. • Everyone could experience the story and environments of raids. • Players still earned loot, though at a lower quality than “real raiders.” • Hardcore raiders retained exclusive access to higher-quality rewards, prestige, and challenge. This model created a balance between accessibility and prestige, significantly increasing engagement. Proposed Destiny 2 System Destiny 2 could implement a similar system with the following structure: 1. Looking for Raid Mode (LFR) • Matchmade, accessible to all players. • Simplified mechanics that still capture the essence of the raid without excessive punishment. • Rewards: Tier 1–2 gear (functional but not top-tier). 2. Normal & Higher Difficulty Raids • Remain unchanged for dedicated fireteams. • Full mechanics, coordination, and execution required. • Rewards: Tier 3–5 gear, with superior stats, perks, or cosmetics. Benefits • Increased Player Engagement: More players can experience raids, one of Destiny’s best features. • Retention & Growth: Casual players stay invested longer when they feel included. • Preserved Prestige: Hardcore raiders still enjoy exclusive rewards and recognition. • Scalable System: This tiered loot structure could extend beyond raids to other endgame content. Conclusion Introducing a Looking for Raid system in Destiny 2 would allow Bungie to open raids to the wider community while preserving the prestige of high-level raiding. This approach ensures that every player can participate, while dedicated raiders continue to be rewarded for mastery and coordination. This balance of accessibility and challenge could dramatically strengthen community engagement, echoing the success seen in World of Warcraft’s most celebrated era.
