Can't rank up anymore..forever stuck at 406?
I'm higher than most people playing yet those who are on the grind need to know this.my character is at 406.every piece of armor and weapons is 406 except...my secondary weapon is 409,my boots are 409 and my chest is 407.all portal activities won't go past 406 no matter what. even bumped up to A tier with a green/blue engram,still 406.well I wasted money and time.to anyone who's interested,don't waste your time,there are better games out there

I'm only at 270 but from what I understand with the way things are at the moment the only route for progression from 400 is through Prime Engrams. Drop rates have been looked at by at least one content creator and it seems drop rates are affected by your gear with the best chance being using full new armour and weapons. Play your way, as long as it's the way we decide you should play - Bungie.

The fault must be on your end. Open DIM or any other tool that can highlight your gear level. If your post was correct you'd be at 407. Im 422 and never had any issues.

2 RepliesThe only way to level now is primes, they drop +3, they drop average every 20 portal completions. It's BRUTAL though, I've had 67 & 73 runs without a prime & a 50 something. As you get primes your reward from activities goes up by 1 so you raise your base by 1, then you need another prime. Primes now look different, bigger engrams from boss chests, glow a little. There's 3 weekly zavala drops too, & the weekly mythic but thats bugged for a lot of people Inc me & drops at 300.

Every 20 solo ops completed will drop a higher item. If you're lucky you'll have better than a 5% chance to get gear that's higher. You paid to play for the almost useless grind from 400 to 450? I play games for fun, if it's entertaining I'll play.

3 RepliesIm feeling that already at 343 . thanks for the info . there is no point of trying to play the game anymore knowing this . l still can't beleave bungie released this broken system leveling. had to of been new employees not testing it and just saying it's great ship it .

Once I hit 400, I stopped actively trying to grind power. I'm 410 now with up to 412 in my highest slot. There's no rush to get to 450, when you actually hit 450 the drops get worse in pve, so trying to actually get to 450 as fast as possible is not necessarily a good thing unless you are a pvp main.

Run the featured solo op too & get guardian rank 9 & you'll get a tier 5 solstice drop every run you get A, you get A by having your band over halfway on the b+ bar btw, saves you a modifier or 2. Featured op gives solstice loot, others don't. Today is K1 & it's faster than caldera too, today.
