Edge of fate is good

I bought the dlc off the back of many negative reviews im glad i did i really enjoyed it. I beat it solo on legendary id go as far as saying it was made to be played on legendary not too challenging not too daunting just right good sense of accomplishment once you succeed. It flowed very well i never once felt like i was back tracking (only to use my newly aquired skills which was really good) or felt like i was in the same place twice keplars very good i do prefer populated patrol zones its one of the things on destiny which make it unique, hey this guy here looks like hes struggling ill go help him kinda thing, but its non the less a good location. Matterspark and other abilities you aquire do not ruin it as many people say, its typical destiny try hards who just want to beat it as fast as they can so they can just level up and take the game far too serious and play far too much, the casual gamers will have a lot of fun with this as i did and ive played since D1 in my opinion its up their with the best dlcs no far off the final shape. Anybody who complains is just jumping on a bandwagon of hate because they just love the game so much and its not like it used to be, its better now tell them to chill out whack it on legendary sit back and enjoy its not a speedrun

  • I agree with your sentiment around the story and campaign. I would give that a solid B+ for sure, other than I couldn't complete it for 2 weeks because it kept crashing. I finally figured out that if I turned off all audio, I could finish the missions. That seems to be fixed because I turned it back on during the fabled run through, and I enjoyed the voice acting. Now then, get back to me when you crack 300, and your gear still sucks, and the only way to progress is to spend countless hours speed running the same quests over and over and over and over again. This is when you realize that if you're willing to invest a couple hundred more hours, you might get a good set of tier 5 gear before season ends, and then they'll sunset it and take all your power away.

  • Come back when you hit 300 and master portal difficulty is the only path forward. The campaign has its flaws but the story was well done. I really like Lodi as he is the first character since Cayde and Drifter to have any personality. Legendary and even Fabled campaign weren't too difficult. The

    •
Matterspark and other abilities you aquire do not ruin it as many people say
Motion Sickness is a real thing and is the main contributing factor for why I am still F2P. The grind and lack of real content is appalling for the price charged. The cheating is outrageous, the disconnections and the bugs are off the scale. PvP is an even worse state than before - one couldn't think that was possible a month ago! "Anybody who complains is just jumping on a bandwagon of hate because they just love the game so much and its not like it used to be, its better now tell them to chill out whack it on legendary sit back and enjoy its not a speedrun" These are real things that are happening - and what about the inherent stressors to complete "Bonus Objectives" in Portal Playlists? It's an enforced speedrun to get higher levels in game. Thanks for your opinion but, I must retort that it appears you have a hatred for the "haters" and are not addressing reality.

    • I think majority of complaints are about,crafting/sunsetting and nerfs which start to be noticeable after the campaign is done ,when the grind really sets in and you realise its pointless since by time you max level to do what you want bungie strip's your level away again

Archon Priest Of House Light - old

It will be good when it gets reduced to $20 Untill then, I am free to play First Descendent season 3 had more content than Edge Of Fate, even with a forgettable story and poorly english dubbed dialogue, they even have sparrows now lol

        • That you enjoyed it is cool, lots didn't but you don't get to be the arbitor of what constitutes 'good' because of it.

          • I’d really love to say I like it too, I mean really. I truly did enjoy Destiny so much. But the spark is gone for me. Hope it comes back one day. Hope you have deep pockets to keep Bungie alive.

            • Story seemed pretty good, but that's also one of the only departments that didn't get hit with tons of layoffs. If you enjoy it, that's good. But it's factually not good for the health of the game. We're losing a lot of players every day, less and less people are playing. People aren't hyped for new content anymore, and there are a lot of games coming out very soon that will pull more and more away. I hope the game survives, but the CFO of Sony is already talking about taking more control of the studio and eventually absorbing the studio into Playstation.

            • I like it too. I’m having a blast with the new armor and stat system. I love how it changed the build for the better. I don’t really focus on the grind I just try to have fun wherever I’m at. Story was cool, Kepler and its aesthetics are nice, I’m not saying everything is perfect, the portal definitely need some work. But overall, once you get used to the changes it’s a good one. Most people who do not like it seem to be freaking out because they are not swimming in Tier 5 yet.

            • I'm glad you enjoyed the story, I did as well. That being said, there are a lot of valid criticisms with Destiny 2 right now. So I wouldn't say it's just people jumping on a bandwagon. While a lot of that happens, especially on the forums, there is plenty to criticize in a constructive way. Not everyone enjoys running the same missions over and over again. I do think the idea of changing things up is good, just needs more work on that.

            • If you just judge it based on the story and amount of content releated to the story and its side quests it's perfectly fine. It's actually a lot. Hell I've even seen some people complain about the story being too long. Like wtf??? We're complaining about too much content now? That said, the typical D2 player is probably not treating EoF as a single/multiplayer campaign, plays it once and moves on to the daily/weekly activities. Well, EoF doesnt have much to offer outside of the story and a lot of us would argue that most of the other changes they made resulted in a less fun and worse game - or at the very least a less streamlined game. As for my personal view on Kepler, even if gear progression in this game made sense - which it doesnt - and higher difficulties on Kepler would actually reward us good gear I still wouldnt go there. I find it to be a n incredibly dull and boring enviroment to be in and would rather play an old strike for the 600th time.

            • I also think it’s good. I didn’t buy the dlc but still can play quite a lot. Even that new solo ops map is available I didn’t expect.

            • The DLC is fine. Unfortunately, much like Beyond Light, there's just so many other things going on in the background that just brings the whole experience down. For Beyond Light, it was Sunsetting. For Edge of Faith, it's the sluggish leveling system.

            • I think it good too, I loved the campaign, for me personally its just the whole receptive grind levelling that's got me and changing the modifiers yourself to match certain awards. I love the whole new stuff that they have done to the ads and funky new drone vex, its fresh and new. But they need to focus on the levelling, by adding more dungeons or anything for pinnacles. I would of liked to see the map back to its original colour and pinnacles on playlists again and dungeons, They just need more variety in pinnacle grind especially after 400
