Edited by EMUracing: 8/6/2025 12:26:44 PM100% focus on getting Guardian Rank up as soon as you can. In Solo Ops, target B+ rather than A in setup. Run as FEW negative delta modifiers as possible (top row). Run green boons when you can and have it not hurt scoring. If you need to add difficulty scaler, add player stakes modifiers BEFORE removing boons and remove boons before adding negative modifiers. This will provide the EASIEST difficulty delta, however you will be often playing with a locked loadout, without a HUD or starting ammo. You should get used to this, as it will make it considerably easier once you get into the 300+ grind. Aiming for B+ with half of the final bar or higher in Solo Ops, completing the bonus objective, and beating the clock will bump you up to the A reward. I mostly setup one build which I could swap between two different primaries for champs (Vision of Confluence for barrier, and Zaouli's Bane for unstop). They are the same element, but I just checked what champs were in the activity that I was running, and swapped as needed. Having a primary to deal with the champ in the sector is VERY helpful when starting with no ammo. Run as many "new gear" items as you can. I ran 2 weapons and 4 armor pieces. These will add to your score and allow you to run less modifiers to reach B+/A. Every 20 power level, the "difficulty" scaler changes, and you will find you need to adjust the mods you run. The only time it doesnt, is on the 50, so its 10 power on either side of that when the scaler shifts. Farm focused drops for your LOWEST slot whenever you can. If there is no focus drop for that slot, and you are getting stuck, pull an item from Zavala which is a power increase drop to get over that hurdle. If you dont NEED to use the token, dont. You only get 2x per week. Look for power # not the roll on the armor. You will quickly outgrow that armor. In general, TechSec armor is very niche. Good for kinetic users, but not for anything else. Bushido armor from Pinnacle is much better, with healing, but no reason to farm it until you are higher power level. Infuse TechSec into TechSec for example, since it wont cost cores to do so. You want to save as many cores as you can, so try to stick with 1 build, and only grind 1 character. I would also recommend NOT masterworking your armor until you start to get T4, just take the stat hit for now. As you grow, you will lose way too much material doing so. I got to 200 the first week playing campaign and then living in Mayhem. Second week, it took 3-4 days to get to 400. I figured out the system, and found where it was efficient for me to play it. K1 you can use sparrow, and the first zone is fairly quick to complete the standard objectives (take down shield for Fallen, or destroy radar dishes for Hive), then you can sparrow down to where the room is before boss and finish bonus objective on the way to the boss. Only precision kills would I try to start doing before I got to the downstairs area, because its easier to shoot them at distance with the scout when they arent running around. The boss is super easy on both days, and in general I would finish with 5:30-6:30m on the clock, and then launch again before hitting orbit (saving 3m). If you change locations, you will need to reselect the mods, but if you launch the same location it will launch with the same mods.

first get to Guardian rank 6, think of this rank more important than light level to a degree, unfortunately for rank 7 you need to hit 300 light level as one of the triumphs. But this would mean you get a better chance at better loot earlier. then run anything but if you can make it an "A" level that's where the progress is (usually equipment locked an another will do it). From there its on repeat and the time you want to invest in the game. For me reaching 300 and some good T3 gear (64-69 stat level) which was where I left this game before this version came about. I've read that above 400 is a real slog fest, currently seeing 240 drops but I got my first T3 gear from doing an expert Devils lair. i'm sure there's more I'm leaving or haven't thought of but start there, and read what others are doing. happy hunting Wook

Play the Ops playlists, probably can still solo-ops cheese if you are dedicated to getting there as fast as possible.
