This week’s TWID

Bungle acknowledges that Warlocks are feeling left behind… In the same TWID, Bungle lists multiple nerfs to the few things that are working for the Warlocks(Speakers Sight healing turret nerf, Grenade damage nerfed while Song of Flame is active, etc). In the meantime, Hunters are one-shotting Aethon and other bosses in game…. Help me understand how this makes sense?! Another clear example of the brilliant decision making over at Bungle Studios.

  • The fact that they acknowledge it and state they don't plan on any changes until Ash & Iron at the earliest is heartbreaking. I don't think I'll be doing anything but the bare minimum to get weekly Bright Dust until then.

  • I mean, I still love the Getaway Artist prismatic build I've been rocking for the last year, don't feel underpowered at all.

  • Bungie nerfs warlocks so that we need to use well because they know titan/hunter mains arent smart enough to survive without constant heals

    A) the nerfs you were talking about were already put in place they just were not announced and I assure you they are not as bad as it sounds. Speakers sight and ember of benevolence are still incredibly good especially in underlevelled content. B) The idea that warlocks are bad is simply not true. I know people are bored of the turret builds (for some reason) but that is far from the extent of their top tier endgame builds. Lightning surge is better than consecration for melee builds since getting its ignitions butchered. The chaos reach build continues to be very strong and a lot of fun to play. Like I said the healer build is still very good for endgame content. And starfire is very much back on the menu, you dont get charges as fast as you used to but this is offset by the fact that with high grenade stat the grenades do insane damage and can constantly ignite with hellion, which you can keep up often since you dont have to (and shouldnt) use emp rift anymore. And these were all my findings before it was found that cooldowns at 100 stat were broken to provide one whole number less of multiplicative value than they were supposed to and would soon be fixed, so everything above that relies on ability cooldowns will be that much better when it is fixed. Hunters are extremely strong with one build yes. But if you dont like it or if you are in an activity where a boss is long range and it is not needed, the whole class is trash. Coming from someone who has always played hunter the least of the three, its just true. Grapple only does so much damage to atheon because all abilities get like a 500% damage buff against atheon (no exaggeration it is some insane 3 digit number), and I assume that buff stacks twice because grapple melee damage is scaled by both the melee and grenade stat, hence why you need both a full stack of Verity's AND 3x combination blow to set it up. It is nowhere near an accurate representation of how strong that build is.

      • What other boss are you talking about? Also that boss takes extra damage from that. It’s either because of grenade kr melee I can’t remember but it’s an outlier
