Proximity recognition of Matermorph chest in upper right chamber of Curtilage Divide
Hi Team,
I'm really enjoying the exploration on Kepler and I find that the locations of the Ability Chests and Urns are much better signalled to me through the environment puzzles in comparison to previous collectibles (e.g. Dreaming City cats) which were generally just sitting in obscure corners, therefore requiring me to use guides more often than not because simply sweeping every square inch of the world was not particularly fun/pleasurable for me in the past.
This is an excellent balance of making things not too obvious, but still clear enough that an individual has a good chance of finding things themselves.
While doing my Curtilage Divide exploration, I was missing the last Ability Chest and although I had explored the entire area, I could not find it and had no map icon suggesting I had come close to it.
Eventually I looked at a YouTube video and the missing chest was the Mattermorph Chest that was in the circular room to the top right of Curtilage Divide (the encounter area featuring boss captain Votary Nimis and the overloading generators).
I had been in that area and fought all the enemies in that room, but I had missed the chest. It feels to me as though the radius for the detection of the mystery was perhaps too short as it is a small room and if I have had an active combat encounter in that room but still not triggered the mystery notification that seems a bit odd.
Anyway, this is totally minor. I love the world design and the evolution of the way to find secrets compared to previous expansions.
Great stuff. Keep up the good work.
