My boyfriend and I discovered a significant issue with the firing range DPS counter. While testing damage, he noticed the DPS panel reports numbers that are much lower than what you actually deal—my Golden Gun shot showed appx 10,000 DPS on the counter, but the boss damage numbers from a single shot were 15,090.
For context, my Golden Gun DPS rotation is:
• Activating Prismatic subclass
• Equipping Celestial Nighthawk
• Applying weaken and darkness debuffs
• Using Acrobatic Dodge for radiant
*(And of course hitting a crit)*
With this complete setup, I’m consistently hitting the boss for 15,090 per shot, yet the firing range DPS counter shows only appx 10,000. This suggests one of two problems:
• The firing range panel is not displaying the correct DPS.
• Or, all supers are currently dealing 30% (ish) LESS damage than BEFORE.
I’m not sure if other players have reported similar discrepancies, but the shooting range counter often displays damage numbers about two-thirds of the actual numbers shown on targets. The damage inconsistency has raised concern about the accuracy of my DPS output currently.
If bungie can dedicate time to this, because this needs attention—either the damage panel needs fixing, or there’s a severe bug affecting damage calculations game-wide as this is not isolated to supers alone - it’s all weapons and supers.
Thank you.
