The player base

Bungie, please stop catering to those who piss in bottles to complete you contest crap. 80% of you player base doesn't care about nigh impossible challenge. We just want to play the game we remember, and this isn't it. You added the music, you made us hopeful and then ripped it all away. I love this game but I don't even have time to do raids. Which means all that gear is impossible for me to get. This is probably the last time I give you money, Digital Extremes will actually respect my time and my money.

  • When you cater a game to the 1%, don't be surprised when the other 99% leave.

  • I would argue it's like 95% actually. Roughly 600 teams participated in this silly day one race, which can be entertaining. This one wasn't, because it was like 10% ad clear, and 90% shooting the boss. But betwen 600 and 700 teams makes it about 4000 players.. out of approximately 100.000. Sure, maybe not everyone could participate for whatever reason, but i doubt we would see more than 5000, but lets say 6000 for arguments sake.. still nowhere near the majority. Most players wont bother with even trying the 500 level cap, because soon they will have to do it all over again. I wont try, i will level upp, but i wont aim for 500, 300 maybe. But i dont see myself grinding for powerlevel over and over again, and certainly not every 6 months. Bungie needs to sort this one out, otherwise this is probably the last raid we will ever see.

  • Somehow I got unto a YT live run of a team still on the final boss late last night and after a wipe multiple of them claimed they needed to stop and take a break because they physically hurt from playing for so insanely long. First Bungo's fault for making something that even the elite have major issues Second, who the heck is insane enough to push a game so sticken long that they are experiencing true physical muscular pain (and not pain in their butts or back but shoulders, arms and hands. How the heck can any game be worth what people have done over the weekend? In the meantime you would not believe everything I managed to get done over the weekend and am happy and not POed! I know its a personal choice. I just beg that if you hurt after this weekends Contest Mood running that you reevaluate your choice making skills!!!

    • Digital Extremes has always been top tier. Not sure if they actually respect gamers, although it looks like they do, at least WAY more than Bungie does. I've been a fan of theirs since the early days when scrounging thru the internet to find their insanely great theme packs and wallpapers for as far back as Win98 SE. Their game (I won't name it as you didn't, so there might be a reason to leave it unnamed, but we all know it's name anyway) isn't "exactly" new player friendly either, has a pretty steep learning curve to understand gameplay and "get good". But overall, seems better in almost every sense, like they actually "listen", "hear", and "understand" what players want from their time in the game. I play D2 because despite it's many flaws, I like the game, although that's fast becoming harder to say (plus I already have loads of money invested even though it seems more often now that I wish I never had) but I play their game too, and despite some confusing mission objective and game mechanics, thoroughly enjoy my time there.

Apparently even the streamers complained about the difficulty. Now it bothers them so they are writing to Bungie to ask to tone it down. Who knew listening to streamers in the first place, people who seem to mistake playing video game for having expertise in game design, could backfire….

        • Why do you expect raid gear without raiding?

        • How do you not have time to do a raid. Most raids take an hour or less.

        • I really am considering updating WF. I'm LR3 at this point but there are still new and old things left for me to grind.

From the beginning, the point of playing a game like this is the public zones where you run into people and wind up working together to complete something. Sometimes you made a friend, and would group up and still play in those spaces and push for the drops and upgrades. Now it's based on the same zone, and increasing the power level as you go. The problem is, it's the same frigging zone, just more difficult as you raise the bar. Bungie, do you not know how boring this is? For years the player base has been talking about how you add just enough to say you added something. Each season has been a short story, and then the same boring grind in the same content. Except that now you've made it even worse. 450? 500? whatever the power cap is, as far as I can tell that number is just bragging rights and slightly upgraded gear. Yes, this story took longer to complete. BUT, that's only because you riddled it with ridiculous puzzles and a sparky ball that, apparently, makes people nauseous. I'm sitting at around 230'ish. If I reach 300 before the reset, I'll be surprised because I don't see myself playing the same zones over and over just to get a 5 point upgrade in a single slot every now and then. I'm simply doing fireteam ops now, heh. Upgrades are decent, 4 per hour or more if you find speed runners that actually go for the max score. Oh well, I'm not gonna beat a dead horse any longer, but I really wish we had the team from destiny 1 still going at it.

No correction the player based doesn't give a s*** about the seasonal power bs nobody is gonna grind for seasonal power if this is going to reset like this... ex one thing if the power cap was like 10 power per season that's one thing but the fact that they want you to grind 250 levels per season just to reset that is just utterly f****** stupid... It's almost like bungee put more dedication to make a power grind until you die but they put less dedication into making additional content after the campaign because think about it we only have one piece of new content in kepler and it's a arena that you can only complete for 30 minutes and then you have to wait 2 hours after it finishes to do it again... It's almost like bungie didn't learn what happened with escalation protocol and Naomi labs if you were here for curse of the warmind you would know exactly what I'm talking about how bad it really was bungee had to remove the labs they had to nerf escalation because only 5% of the community actually f****** completed it... Even more so look at the current state of mystic even streamers are saying that they can't handle it and they're supposed to be Professional gamers... If you want even a bigger example look at the raid few people who completed it took them almost 30 hours not because of the mechanics but because of the difficulty it's way too f****** hard it's nothing but bullet sponges and you have to constantly rely on ability spam... What's crazy is the content creators who complained about this they actually had early access they're the ones who told bungie that the progression was too slow that the content felt too hard and they ignore them...

          • This is the first dlc for this game I didn't buy, and I've been playing other games and actually enjoying them. Bungie has been a dumpster fire for so long, and this dlc really showed how they have no idea what they're doing

At lest they peak 108k a few days after release…vs 300k day 1 DLC release from 2-3yrs ago.
