Until bungie can start being better to its player base and stop with greedy bs gaming tactics. They half assed another release and will use all the content creators to push this race. Vote with your attention and wallet. Do not support them until they stop screwing us over. They remove -blam!- we paid for they disable -blam!- left and right and DO NOT PLAY TEST. Take a stand and hold your fellow content creators accountable as well. If we all sit out then they will understand. I know it might not happen but push this up the timeline and make em see it! A broken game shouldn’t ask its players for a dime until they provide a working experience!!!

7 RepliesWhilst I agree with your sentiment, I think you might as well try and get blood out of a stone. I tried a similar thing here and on Reddit years ago when Shadowkeep came out. I got destroyed by people who, apparently, “knew better”. I left the game for nigh on three years except for a few lapsed weeks when Beyond Light was super cheap or free to PSN and finally got back into it in November 22 when Witch Queen went on sale during Cyber Monday. I don’t watch steamers live stream games. It’s dull and uninteresting to me. I’ll watch their edited 💩 for hints and tips or builds, but that’s it. The population says it all. If you look at preorders and round it up to 500,000 and assume that they all bought the ultimate version @ $100 then that’s :- 500,000 x 100 = $50,000,000. Is that enough to cover Bungie’s cost for a year? I don’t know. I did work it out once. These figures from a quick search suggest not. Idk. At this point I don’t think I even care anymore. I’ll play till I reach PL 200 and then just potter about doing old raids and dungeons (once they are fixed 🤦♂️) [quote]Public Information and Estimates: One Reddit thread from 2019 estimated Bungie's monthly server costs at $137,483 for a scenario with 1,300 virtual machines and $274,504 with 2,600 virtual machines. The same thread estimated annual labor costs for Bungie at $108,201,600, with monthly labor costs at $9,016,800. These estimates are based on publicly available information and assumptions about Bungie's server setup. Bungie's servers are not purely dedicated, which can reduce costs compared to a fully dedicated server setup. In conclusion, while Bungie's server costs are significant, they have implemented a hybrid server model and other strategies to manage expenses and provide a high-quality gaming experience for Destiny 2 players.
